Wiener Forum für analytische Philosophie A student-led organization which aims to support professional work in analytic philosophy. It is based at the University of Vienna and was founded in 2009.

The Vienna Forum for Analytic Philosophy aims to support professional work in analytic philosophy. Our principle objective is to intensify research, exchange and discussion among students and scholars. For this purpose we organize regular meetings, lectures, workshops and conferences and foster national and international contact with individuals and groups interested in analytic philosophy. The Vi

During this week’s session, we’ll be reading two texts by Prof. Martin Kusch! 💥

1. “The Sociology of Philosophical Knowledge Revisited: Relativism, Scepticism, Reductionism” (2018)
2. “Integrated Philosophy and Sociology of Science: The Example of the Sociology of Scientific Knowledge” (2025)

Together, they amount to just under 30 pages of reading. We will spend the session this Friday (May 15th) working through the papers. We will also develop some follow-up questions to ask Prof. Kusch in a discussion session on:

In this disscussion session, Prof. Kusch has kindly agreed to tell us a little bit about his sociological approach to philosophy and to engage with our questions. This discussion session will also replace our regular Friday session for the week, so we will not meet on May 22nd.
