At UNIQA 4WARD we appreciate the fascinating world of numbers – even in difficult times. That’s why we are super excited to announce the launch of the new UNIQA 4WARD Math Challenge.

The IIB talent factory has produced the winners of first and second place in the prestigious CBS award at the EIBA 2019 conference in Leeds. In the end, Edith Ipsmiller was the runner-up and Thomas Lindner received the CBS award for the best research paper at the conference authored by a researcher under 40. Their papers take novel perspectives on International Business research: Thomas investigates internationalization under different environmental parameters using a simulation, and Edith looks at re-entries into foreign markets from a reference-point perspective (https://eiba2019.eiba.org/programme/awards/). Congratulations to both finalists!

Talent factory IIB - Two faculty members in the race for best young scholar award

Papers authored by Edith Ipsmiller and Thomas Lindner are the two only (!) finalists for the Copenhagen Business School Prize at the EIBA 2019 conference in Leeds, UK. The Copenhagen Business School Prize is awarded to the best research paper at the conference that was authored by researchers under the age of 40. Edith and Thomas both are assistant professors at IIB, and both teach in the undergraduate and graduate (CEMS) programs. Since no other paper is nominated for this award, one thing is for sure: They’re gonna carry home a victory!
