We held our post-EGU26 team meeting today, a nice moment to catch up after a busy General Assembly and think about what's next for GMPV.

We're also happy to welcome three new members to the team: Pierre Bouygues, Areti Angeli, and Catherine R. Tapalla, so glad to have you on board! 🎉

And stay tuned, we'll soon be sharing a blog post to introduce the current GMPV team properly.

Congratulations to Dr Claire Harnett on receiving the 2026 Arne Richter Award for Outstanding Early Career Scientists 🌋🏆

She was recognised for her exceptional field and experimental studies on the growth and collapse of volcanic structures, as well as her geotechnical applications that contribute to better assessments of volcanic instability and hazards.

An inspiring recognition of important work advancing our understanding of volcanoes and related risks.
