And here's a delicious fact to get you in the mood: Did you know the croissant was actually born in Vienna? 🥐 Legend has it that after the failed Ottoman siege in 1683, a local baker celebrated the victory with a crescent-shaped pastry — the Kipferl. When Austrian princess Marie Antoinette married French King Louis XVI, she supposedly introduced the Kipferl to France — where it eventually became the flakier, buttery croissant we know today.
