The CIC facilitates and supports a person’s introduction to social and economic life in Carinthia.

Full-service agency for qualified internationals and their families in Carinthia (Austria, Europe), providing the best possible support during the arrival process with counseling, accompaniment, and a comprehensive educational program. Advisory service enables people to take informed decisions in relation to work, living or the schooling of children in their new environment. Regular events and activities offer a platform for social networking and information exchange. Local people may join and connect to a vibrant international community or to meet like-minded people. Colleagues from countries a long way away and their families will find getting started and settling into Carinthia a lot easier.

Around 70 kids, countless adventures and one very colourtul summer! ☺️

Also this year, our CIC Summerkids brought children from different countries, languages and backgrounds together for several weeks of fun, creativity and new experiences.
From sports, games and arts & crafts to excursions, nature, music and plenty of outdoor adventures - every day offered something new. And once again, we could see how naturally children connect across languages and cultures when they simply have the opportunity to spend time together.

A huge thank you to our wonderful youth coordinators under the supervison of Almerie Böhmer who made these weeks possible with so much energy and dedication.
And of course, a very special thank you to our partners:
Infineon Technologies: without you, we probably would have stayed hungry , thank you for supporting our meals
and snacks, and Kelag Energie for the great Summerkids team T-shirts!

Thank you to everyone who made Summerkids 2026 such a great experience🫶🏻

“I think that life as an international teenager in Carinthia is so different from anywhere else in the world. I have to switch between English and German daily, sometimes also Italian. But I’m so grateful for all of the experiences I’m having here, like going to Kirchtag and Krampuslauf (that one is definitely a little weird), and I’m very grateful for my friends.” — Annika, MYP 3A, International School of Carinthia.

We were happy to have Annika, from the .international with us at CIC for a three-day work experience placement this week. We wish her an interesting and inspiring school project and would like to thank her for wonderful article about being an international teenager in Carinthia 💫🙌
