✨ New Podcast Series is Out! — Wear the Future 🎙️
Project ID: Wear the Future – 2024-3-CZ01-KA153-YOU-000265910

We collected feedback from youth workers who took part in our Erasmus+ training in the Czech Republic — and turned it into a podcast series! 🎧

👚 The project focused on:
✔ Fast fashion & environmental impact
✔ Circular economy
✔ EU textile policies
✔ Fashion activism
✔ Inspiring young people to take action

Participants joined workshops, team activities, discussions, and visited local organisations working on sustainable fashion. They returned home with new knowledge, skills, and tools to create positive change in their communities. 🌍✨

Welcome to 'Digging Up Clay But Finding Ourselves: Wider Horizons For Handcrafted Youth!' Project.
Welcome to Avanos, the heart of pottery and creativity in Türkiye. 🏺✨

From 15th to 22nd of October, 34 young people, group leaders, and facilitators from Austria, Türkiye, Georgia, and Latvia come together to dig up clay, discover themselves, and shape their future together. 🌍💫

Through ceramics and creative expression, we explore identity, culture, and self-development.
We speak up about youth challenges — social, economic, and mental — and turn isolation into inclusion, creativity, and connection. 💬🤝

This week, we learn from each other’s cultures, traditions, and stories,
create together, and transform clay — and ourselves — in the process. 🎨👐

Our journey continues with workshops, cultural evenings, and the creation of a Project Handbook — capturing our shared experiences and ideas for future Erasmus+ projects. 📘🌿

Because when we shape clay,
we also shape our confidence, creativity, and community. 💛

🌱 From Me & My Clothes to Global Action: Highlights from the Wear the Future Project
What does it mean to “Wear the Future”? We found the answer during an inspiring Erasmus+ training course in the heart of Europe, where fashion became a tool for education, activism, and systemic change.
Together with a diverse group of youth workers from several European countries, we explored the fashion industry from every angle:
👕 How it affects the environment and labor rights
📚 How it can be used in non-formal education for climate awareness
🔄 How circular economy principles can create real alternatives
🧵 And how upcycling and repairing our own clothes can spark empowerment
We had the chance to design our own campaigns, explore case studies, reflect on local/global challenges, and build meaningful collaborations for future impact.
Some highlights:
🔸 “Me & My Clothes” workshop — exploring personal stories in fashion
🔸 Circular mapping of our own communities
🔸 Designing climate workshops for youth
🔸 Fashion activism through creativity and local storytelling
🔸 Deep reflections on our role as changemakers
We now return home not just with knowledge, but with purpose and a community. 🌍✨
Change begins with what we wear — and how we wear it. Let’s wear the future together.

🌿 Fashion as a Tool for Change: Our Experience at Wear the Future
In July 2025, our team joined an Erasmus+ training course called Wear the Future — and it completely reshaped how we think about fashion, education, and activism.
For 8 days, we explored how the fashion industry intersects with environmental degradation, social justice, and global economics. But instead of just talking, we created, reflected, and collaborated on real solutions.
💡 What we experienced:
• Learning about EU fashion legislation and sustainable development goals
• Participating in workshops on circular economy, systems thinking, and non-formal education
• Understanding fashion as a powerful communication tool
• Designing our own educational workshops and social campaigns
• Taking part in Fashion Revolution Week in Zlín, connecting with local designers
• Practicing upcycling and mending skills to reduce textile waste
• Exploring Erasmus+ opportunities for future projects and collaborations
This experience reminded us that every garment has a story — and that we, as educators, youth workers, and citizens, can rewrite the narrative.
Thank you to all the facilitators, partners, and participants who made this experience so impactful. We’re ready to pass the thread forward. 🧵🌍

🧶 WEAR THE FUTURE: A Transformative Journey in Sustainable Fashion
We just completed an incredible 8-day learning experience in Zlín, Czech Republic as part of the Wear the Future Erasmus+ training course — and we are beyond inspired! 🌍✨
This training brought together youth workers, educators, designers, and activists from across Europe to explore how fashion can be reimagined in the fight against climate change.
Throughout the week, we wore many hats — as problem-solvers, citizens, educators, activists, producers/consumers, advocates, and finally, ambassadors of change.
Here’s a glimpse of what we did:
👕 Reflected on our personal connection with clothes and consumption habits
🧵 Dived deep into slow fashion, circular economy, and sustainable production
✂️ Learned practical skills like upcycling, mending, and fashion activism
🎓 Designed non-formal educational activities to engage young people in climate action
📣 Created our own slow fashion campaigns and projects for local impact
🌿 Engaged with the local scene during Zlín’s Fashion Revolution Week
💬 Discussed EU policies, Erasmus+ opportunities, and our role in shaping a fairer fashion system
This was more than a training — it was a creative lab, a safe space, and a movement in the making. We left with new tools, deeper awareness, and international connections that will continue to grow.
Let’s keep advocating for responsible fashion and empower others to wear the future consciously.

🎨 GraphiQuest: Unlocking the Power of Visual Learning for Youth Workers! 🌍✨
We are excited to celebrate the successful completion of GraphiQuest, a project that has empowered youth workers across Europe to enhance their skills in graphic facilitation! 💪
Through interactive workshops, 24 participants from Austria, Macedonia, Italy, Spain, Poland, France, Türkiye, and The Netherlands learned how to use visual communication to make learning more engaging and effective. We proved that everyone can draw, and that visuals are a powerful tool to support youth development and learning. 🎨💡
✅ What We Did
• Created a toolkit for visual learning that youth workers can use in their own activities. Available at:
https://www.ikigaivienna.org/graphiquest
• Developed graphic skills and enhanced creative thinking for better engagement with young people.
• Empowered participants to share their knowledge and become multiplier trainers for their communities.
✅ Project Highlights
🏛️ Visit to Rathaus Wien – Engaged with city officials on youth policies and explored ways to connect Erasmus+ with local governments.
🏙️ GraphiQuest City Challenge – Our participants promoted Erasmus+ and GraphiQuest through creative city tours and interviews at iconic locations in Vienna.
🏢 Visit to AUGE Österreich – Discussed workers' rights and the potential for new Erasmus+ collaborations.
🎨 Collaboration with Wardski Paolo, a talented artist from Vienna, added a unique artistic touch to our project.
📰 Press releases & social media campaigns spread the word far and wide, reaching youth workers and organizations across Europe.
With a mix of formal and informal outreach, GraphiQuest has made a lasting impact, strengthening youth work and boosting awareness of Erasmus+ opportunities! 🚀
