Eirini Papadimitriou will also be our host at EUW Culture Commission event. Eirini is a Theatrologist and a Voice coach – Soprano.
She studied Drama at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She taught theatre and music in Primary and Secondary schools in London during her four-year stay in England. As a Head Drama teacher, she organized the Drama Department at King Fahad Academy (IB School), where she prepared students for the LAMDA exams (acting, mime, improvisation), with a success rate of 95% A * - A. She took classical singing lessons with Sally Burgess (Royal College of Music), Joseph Middleton, Norbert Meyn, and Ron Morris, acting classes with Reyes Hiraldo (Royal School of Speech and Drama), and Alexander Technique lessons with Fiona Bryan.
As a performer, she collaborated in London with the City Opera Ensemble on the operas Hensel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck and Callisto by Francesco Cavalli, with the dramatic group Earl's Courtiers in Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare as well as with MetFilm School in short films. Upon her return to Greece, she took on the role of assistant director in the theatrical play Eleftherios Venizelos directed by G. Mortzos, starred in the theatrical play Eternal Couple by Gr. Haliakopoulos, participated as a deputy member in the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) choir and completed, under the guidance of Irini Tsirakidou, her studies in Classical Singing (Diploma).
Since June 2020, she is a founding member and Chair of the PhonoQuest Social Cooperative Enterprise, which focuses on the human voice artistically and scientifically. She is a member of the European Union of Women - EUW Culture Commission.
