Culture is the set of the material and spiritual achievements of the whole community or group of people, the degree to which the spiritual and material conditions of life of social groups are developed, and the refined morals and spiritual development in behavior among people, in aesthetic expression, in the lifestyle of a community as a whole. All the above are to be protected, harnessed, and made the tool that unites the different cultures of the EU countries. This will contribute to a better understanding of our peoples, their approach, and real European integration. For this reason, the international Board of EUW has decided to form a Culture Commission. The aim of the commission is safeguarding of cultural heritage, cultural exchange, and artistic creation of the nations in the European Union that is considered very important for the future of our continent. The new Commission will help us to determine and implement proposals aimed at promoting the integration of the cultural dimension of the EUW members. It will also enable us to promote intercultural dialogue, mutual respect, and acknowledgment of the differences and of the common values.

Our First Vice-President Irene Peer-Polzer had a great event in the center of Vienna, wishing to motivate people to vote on next sunday - because it is important to work for peace, solidarity, freedom in a community as the European Union. The event was organized by Valeria Foglar-Deinhartstein and supported by European Union of Women Austria / EUWA. There was an art exhibition, and all the visitors could paint by themselves and in the end we sang the european hymne together with a text in latin which could be sang by everyone. Culture is a strong bound to bring people together!
