✨The MAA Mentor-Mentee Team recently hosted its third Fireside Chat of the 2025-26 cycle on «Workplace Skills and Career Development».

During an insightful session, Svetlana Portman, Zuzana Vysudilova, and Wilson Wang shared their expertise and personal career journeys with our mentees, offering practical advice for excelling in the workplace as junior practitioners.

👤The interactive format allowed mentees to engage directly with the panelists and explore topics such as making a good impression as a junior team member, raising your profile, and dealing with the pressures and difficulties of the workplace.

The Executive Board refers to the official Notice for the Annual General Meeting of 2026 (2026 AGM), dated 14 February 2026.

The 2026 AGM will be held in Vienna, Austria, and virtually via Microsoft Teams on Saturday, 28 March 2026, 09:30 - 13:30 (CET / Vienna Time)

The Executive Board hereby recirculates the Notice, which contains the agenda for the 2026 AGM, and has not been amended since it was first issued.

Details for in-person and virtual attendance at the hybrid 2026 AGM can be found in the attached Notice.

The Executive Board further circulates the CVs of candidates for the Executive Board received by the Executive Board as of 21 March 2026.

🌐The MAA has been invited to attend the 68th session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade LawWorking Group V (Insolvency Law) as an observer.

The session will be held in person at the United Nations Headquarters from 13 to 17 April 2026.

The Working Group will continue its consideration of the topic of applicable law in insolvency proceedings, as referred to by the Commission at its fifty-fourth session (A/76/17, paras. 214(e) and 217). It is expected that the Working Group will consider a draft model law on applicable law in insolvency proceedings (A/CN.9/WG.V/WP.207) and a draft guide to enactment of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Applicable Law in Insolvency Proceedings (A/CN.9/WG.V/WP.208). The session will consider the annotated provisional agenda (A/CN.9/WG.V/WP.206), as well as the above-mentioned working papers.

More information about the session, including the relevant documents and updates, is available on the UNCITRAL Working Group V webpage at https://uncitral.un.org/en/working_groups/5/insolvency_law.
