The Moot Alumni Association (MAA) is the alumni association of both the Willem C. Ahuja, Co-President

Vis Moot International Commercial Arbitration Moot (the Vienna Moot) and the Willem C. Vis Moot (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot (the Hong Kong Moot). Effective 1 May 2024, the MAA Executive Board for 2024-2025 consists of:

The MAA is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026/27 MAA Mentor – Mentee Programme.

💼 The MAA Mentor – Mentee Programme offers law students and young professionals an opportunity to receive guidance and support from an experienced legal professionals and academics through periodical one-to-one (online or in-person) interactive meetings as they begin to develop their careers.

📅 The 2026/27 Mentor – Mentee Programme is scheduled to take place from early October 2026 until 30 April 2027.

⏰ Interested mentees are required to submit an application with their one-page motivation letter and CV by 27 August 2026.

✨The MAA Mentor-Mentee Team recently hosted its third Fireside Chat of the 2025-26 cycle on «Workplace Skills and Career Development».

During an insightful session, Svetlana Portman, Zuzana Vysudilova, and Wilson Wang shared their expertise and personal career journeys with our mentees, offering practical advice for excelling in the workplace as junior practitioners.

👤The interactive format allowed mentees to engage directly with the panelists and explore topics such as making a good impression as a junior team member, raising your profile, and dealing with the pressures and difficulties of the workplace.

This Fireside Chat was moderated by Vanshika Maan from the MAA Mentor-Mentee Team.

MAA Alumni Networking Evening in Hong Kong! ✨✨✨

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended the Moot Alumni Association’s Networking Evening in Hong Kong, hosted at A&O Shearman!

It was an inspiring evening, full of insightful conversations, reconnecting with old friends, and forging new connections.
We were thrilled to see so many alumni of the Vis Moot and Vis East Moot, as well as current and former coaches and arbitrators, come together to celebrate and strengthen the Moot Alumni community.
