Der Backwaterman ist ein traditionelles, BEREITS kultiges, Langdistanz-Schwimmen in den fjordartigen Gewässern des Ottensteiner Stausees.

Seit 2019 werden auch SwimRun Veranstaltungen durchgeführt, die ab 2021 an einem eigenen Wochenende stattfinden.
