🥾 A weekend of hiking, music and q***r connection near Göttingen

Last weekend, Dastan Kasmamytov led wonderful few days at the Akademie Waldschlösschen for the Wanderwochenende für Schwule im Herzen Deutschlands (Gay Hiking Weekend) that takes place twice a year!

We enjoyed two beautiful hiking trips of 15–20 km through the countryside around Göttingen, discovering the landscape and sharing conversations along the way.

The weekend also brought some special cultural moments. Dastan gave a presentation about the expedition to the Pamir Mountains and the Wakhan region. We were also lucky to have a gay orchestra playing at the academy, adding a musical highlight.

And one of the most memorable moments came on our final day: at one of the churches along our hiking route, one of the participants sat down at the piano and started playing. An unexpected, beautiful moment that made the whole experience even more special.

Good trails, great company, music, inspiring stories and little surprises along the way — a reminder of how valuable these spaces are for meeting people, connecting and spending time together.

Join us next year! 🌿 The weekend is designed for gay people who enjoy easy hiking, meeting new people and exploring the beautiful hilly landscapes in the heart of Germany.

Expect half-day and full-day hikes, with longer routes of up to 25 km. Accommodation and meals are included in the participation fee.

🏳️‍🌈⛰️ Pride Climb Arco: A week of climbing, community and adventure!

What a week in Arco! 💗 We brought together q***r climbers and mountain enthusiasts for a week full of movement, learning, and shared adventures.

From via ferratas and climbing refresher sessions to beautiful multipitch routes and some ridge climbing, there were plenty of ways to get outside, challenge ourselves, and develop our skills together. And, of course, we made time for Rock Master — with some surprising results! 👀

Above all, Pride Climb Arco was about sharing our passion for the mountains, learning from one another, and creating space where everyone can feel welcome in the outdoors.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us! 💗 Thank you for bringing your energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm and for making this week such a memorable experience. We hope to see you all again on the rocks and in the mountains!

42 degrees Celsius. Long & exhausting road along the Afghan border.

🇬🇧 While part of our team is currently on expedition in Central Asia, our member Steffen is taking a very different kind of stage on 22 July 2026: at Apple Rosenthaler Straße in Berlin.
He'll be talking with Nora von Breitenbach of and Igor Ranc of Handpicked Berlin about how founders from the LGBTQIA+ community turned their vision into a business. The challenges, the courage to take risks, and what actually holds a business together. Networking afterwards.

Visibility looks different depending on the day. Sometimes it's a rainbow flag at 6,000 meters, sometimes it's a panel in a Berlin conference room. Both count.

Last week, our Pride Hike & Climb - Alps took place in Austria.

Despite forecasts of thunderstorms, the weather turned out to be beautiful. We divided into smaller groups and managed to hike to a glacial lake and summit two peaks, go rock climbing and via ferrata climbing, and even go paragliding.

At the mountain hut, we hosted several interesting presentations: one on paragliding across the Pyrenees, another on q***r activism through mountain sports, and one about our past expedition to West Papua.
