42 degrees Celsius. Long & exhausting road along the Afghan border.

🇬🇧 While part of our team is currently on expedition in Central Asia, our member Steffen is taking a very different kind of stage on 22 July 2026: at Apple Rosenthaler Straße in Berlin.
He'll be talking with Nora von Breitenbach of and Igor Ranc of Handpicked Berlin about how founders from the LGBTQIA+ community turned their vision into a business. The challenges, the courage to take risks, and what actually holds a business together. Networking afterwards.

Visibility looks different depending on the day. Sometimes it's a rainbow flag at 6,000 meters, sometimes it's a panel in a Berlin conference room. Both count.

🇩🇪 Während ein Teil unseres Teams gerade in Zentralasien unterwegs ist, steht unser Mitglied Steffen am 22. Juli 2026 in Berlin auf einer ganz anderen Bühne: bei Apple in Berlin, Rosenthaler Straße.
Er spricht mit Nora von Breitenbach von und Igor Ranc von Handpicked Berlin darüber, wie Gründer:innen aus der LGBTQIA+ Community ihre Vision zum Business gemacht haben. Herausforderungen, Mut zum Risiko, und was am Ende trägt. Danach ist Zeit für Networking.
Sichtbarkeit sieht bei uns manchmal aus wie eine Regenbogenflagge auf 5000 Metern, manchmal wie ein Panel im Konferenzraum. Beides zählt.

Last week, our Pride Hike & Climb - Alps took place in Austria.

Despite forecasts of thunderstorms, the weather turned out to be beautiful. We divided into smaller groups and managed to hike to a glacial lake and summit two peaks, go rock climbing and via ferrata climbing, and even go paragliding.

At the mountain hut, we hosted several interesting presentations: one on paragliding across the Pyrenees, another on q***r activism through mountain sports, and one about our past expedition to West Papua.

The winter season is almost over. During our last ski tours in Jotunheimen National Park in Norway we came up with an idea for the next ski season: a multiday ski tour in Kyrgyzstan and a winter q***r community event outdoors with the local organisation.
