STAND WITH NEPAL 🇳🇵

On 26 August 2026, a devastating flash flood struck northern Nepal, causing widespread loss of life and destroying homes, roads, bridges, livelihoods and essential infrastructure. The full impact is still unfolding, and many communities remain in urgent need of support.

For all of us at travel-to-nature Asia, Nepal is not simply a destination. It is home — to our families, our friends, our colleagues and to communities we have worked alongside for many years.

Through SWAN Nepal, together with SWAN Deutschland and SWAN Österreich, we are supporting the emergency response and the longer journey of recovery.

We are grateful to stand together with our partners and friends travel-to-nature , Birdingtours, Camping, Pension und donAu-Stand'l Au an der Donau and Impuls Projektfonds e.V., united in supporting the people and communities affected by this catastrophe.

The immediate priorities include food, safe drinking water, shelter, hygiene, basic healthcare and support for the most vulnerable.

But this is only the beginning. As communities move from emergency relief towards recovery, SWAN intends to remain alongside them — supporting education, health, WASH, livelihoods and community resilience.

Severe floods hit Nepal on August 26, 2026, leaving many families without homes, livelihoods, and essential belongings. They urgently need support.

With our funding, SWAN Nepal have been able to establish a computer lab and a library in one of the most remote schools in Nepal, benefiting around 200 students.

This is a major milestone for the school and for the children, opening new opportunities for learning, growth, and a brighter future.

We are truly grateful to be part of this journey. Our heartfelt thanks to SWAN Nepal for implementing this project with such dedication, commitment, and care. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.

🔥 145 households in Tumcha village of Humla now cook cleaner, breathe easier, and save hours every day — thanks to all our donors. 🙏

Your generosity is making a real difference in one of Nepal's most remote regions. With improved cooking stoves, families in Humla are breathing fresher air, women are saving hours once spent collecting firewood, and local forests are getting a much-needed break. 🌿

And we are not stopping here!

In the second phase, SWAN will distribute improved cooking stoves to the remaining 34 households — ensuring that every family in the community enjoys the same life-changing benefits.

Every contribution you made translated into healthier children, safer kitchens, and a more sustainable way of living high in the Himalayas. Together, we will reach all 179 households! 💪
