BRAVEAURORA eröffnet mit seinen Tätigkeiten und Projekten gefährdeten Kindern in Ghana und deren erweiterten Familien Zukunftsperspektiven, mit den Zielen der: - Re-Intergration von Waisenkindern und gefährdeten Kindern in ihre (erweiterten) Familienstrukturen,
- De-Institutionalisierung von Waisenhäusern und
- nachhaltigen Dorfentwicklung. Durch verschiedene Re-Integrationsprojekte und Projekte

zur Wissensvermittlung auf Dorfebene wird Zugang zu umfassenden Bildungsmöglichkeiten und zu neuen, nachhaltigen Einkunftsmöglichkeiten geschaffen. Nutritious meal preparation for children.

Many mothers want to give their nutritious meals, yet often lack practical knowledge on how to combine available foods into balanced diets.

Through the Feeding Hopes Project, an initiative designed to mothers with nutritional education and Infant and Young Child Feeding practices, we are changing this. In Kparigu and Shelinvoya, 60 mothers took part in a hands-on food demonstration where they learnt to prepare affordable, nutrient-dense meals, including corn porridge and weaning mixes for young children.

The session was lively and engaging. Mothers asked thoughtful questions, shared experiences, and showed real enthusiasm to apply what they learnt at home.

We remain committed to ensuring that children are not only safe and protected, but also well nourished for a future.

Distribution of start up kits to smock tailors and makeup artists beneficiaries.

BRAVEAURORA took another bold step toward strengthening economic in our partner communities by distributing start-up tools to young graduates in Guabuliga and Gaagbini.
A total of 15 trained smock tailors and make-up artists received essential tools to launch their journey toward self-reliance and financial independence. For these dedicated individuals, this moment marks the exciting shift from learning to earning, turning hard-earned skills into .
Alongside the tool distribution, participants proudly received their NVTI certificates, celebrating their growth, resilience, and readiness for the world of work.
At BRAVEAURORA, we believe empowerment is more than providing resources, it’s about creating opportunity for people to thrive.

BraveAurora Celebrates Its Social Workers on World Social Work Day 2026.

Today, on World Social Work Day, we celebrate our social workers whose daily work reflects a shared commitment to children and families.

Across different , their voices carry one message. Children belong in families. Through their efforts, we see what it means to stand in solidarity, to support parents, to strengthen relationships, and to ensure that care is prioritized, not separation.

Our social workers continue to work alongside ,listening, guiding, and responding with patience and respect. Their experiences remind us that family-based care is not an abstract idea. It is a practical and necessary approach that protects and gives them a sense of .
As they share their messages today, we are reminded that this is a global movement. Each step taken to support a family brings us closer to a society where children grow up in safe and supportive homes

✨ Vorstandsreise- eine geteilte Vision, die wirkt

Beim Vorstandsbesuch in Ghana durften Simone und Cornelia erleben, wie unsere Vision – Kindern ein gesundes und glückliches Aufwachsen in ihren Familien zu ermöglichen – Tag für Tag Realität wird. Durch Projektbesuche, Gespräche mit Teilnehmer*innen und den engen Austausch mit unserem Team wurde spürbar, wie viele Menschen diese Vision mittragen und weitertragen- teilweise weit über unsere Projekte hinaus.
Allen voran:
🌟 Unser über 20 köpfiges Team, in dem jede*r mit ganz persönlicher Motivation und Expertise daran arbeitet, Kinder und ihre Familien zu stärken. Diese individuelle Hingabe ist das Fundament unserer Arbeit.
🌟 Unsere Projektteilnehmerinnen*, wie:
Irina, Weberin aus Mimima, die durch ihre Ausbildung die Schulbildung ihrer Kinder finanziert und ihre Familie versorgt. Heute gibt sie ihr Wissen an andere Frauen weiter.
Oder Dennis, der dank therapeutischer Nahrung mit vier Jahren endlich zu laufen begonnen hat. Seine Mutter erkennt nun die Anzeichen von Mangelernährung und sensibilisiert Mütter in ihrer Gemeinde, frühzeitig Unterstützung zu suchen.
Die Zeit in Ghana wirkt nach, berührt und motiviert uns, gemeinsam mit all jenen, die unsere Vision teilen, weiter für ein gesundes Aufwachsen von Kindern in ihren Familien einzustehen. ✨🌍

During the board’s visit to Ghana, Simone and Cornelia were able to see first-hand how our vision – to enable children to grow up healthy and happy within their families – is becoming a reality day by day. Through visits to projects, conversations with participants and close interaction with our team, it became clear just how many people share and champion this vision – in some cases far beyond the scope of our projects.
Above all:
🌟 Our team of over 20 people, in which everyone works with personal motivation and expertise to empower children and their families. This individual dedication is the foundation of our work.
🌟 Our project participants, such as:
Irina, a weaver from Mimima, who uses the income from her training to fund her children’s education and provide for her family. Today, she passes on her knowledge to other women.
Or Dennis, who finally began to walk at the age of four thanks to therapeutic food. His mother now recognises the signs of malnutrition and encourages mothers in her community to seek support at an early stage.
These experiences continue to touch and motivate us to keep working, together with all those who share our vision, to ensure children grow up healthy within their families. ✨

Schulbänke für Volksschulkinder in Sawaba 👩‍🏫

Im Rahmen unseres Bildungsprogramms hat BRAVEAURORA Doppeltische a die Schüler*innen der Sawaba-Grundschule gespendet, um die Ausstattung und somit das Lernen in der Schule zu verbessern.
Die Übergabe wurde von unserem Geschäftsführer Abdul- Rahman, zusammen mit Simone, Mitglied des BRAVEAURORA-Vorstands, im Namen der Organisation geleitet. An der Veranstaltung nahmen Gemeindevorsteher und Würdenträger teil, darunter der Dorfvorsteher von Sawaba, der Gemeindevorsteher (MCE) von West Mamprusi, Vertreter des Ghana Education Service (GES) sowie Lehrkräfte der Schule.
Sie sprachen BRAVEAURORA ihren herzlichen Dank für die kontinuierliche Unterstützung und den Beitrag zu Bildung und verbesserten Lernbedingungen in der Region aus.

As part of our Education and Advocacy Programme, BRAVEAURORA this morning, March 11, 2026, donated dual desks to pupils of Sawaba Primary School to help address the school’s furniture shortage.
The presentation was led by Mr. Abdul Rahman Gbana Iddrisu, Executive Director of BRAVEAURORA, together with Simone, a member of the BRAVEAURORA Board, on behalf of the organization. The event brought together community leaders and dignitaries including the Chief of Sawaba, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE)for West Mamprusi Municipal, officials from the Ghana Education Service (GES), and teachers of the school.
The Chief and community members expressed their heartfelt appreciation to BRAVEAURORA for its continuous support and contribution to and development in the area. The MCE also commended the organization for its ongoing to improving conditions in the region and encouraged the to take good care of the for the benefit of future generations.

Graduation Ceremony 👏

On the 4th of March,2026, we held our fifth ceremony for our livelihood promotion program under the team “Building Resilient Livelihood Through Skills and Entrepreneurship “. The ceremony took place at the Walewale Astro turf and brought together partners from both government and civil society organizations. The program was graced by the North East regional minister, the municipal chief executive of various departments and agencies and traditional leaders from various communities.
A total of 230 participants graduated from dress making, smock tailoring,hairdressing, pastries, groundnut processing, pomade making and other practical trade.
This is part of our commitment to communities and families and promoting for vulnerable families

Am 4. März 2026 fand unsere fünfte Abschlussfeier für unser Programm zur Armutsbekämpfung unter dem Motto „Aufbau resilienter Lebensgrundlagen durch Qualifikationen und Unternehmertum“ statt. Die Feier wurde im Walewale Stadion abgehalten und brachte Partner aus Regierungs- und zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen zusammen. Das Programm wurde mit der Anwesenheit des Regionalminister, dem Bürgermeister, den Leitern verschiedener Abteilungen und Behörden sowie traditionellen Führern aus verschiedenen Gemeinden geehrt.
Insgesamt 230 Teilnehmer*innen absolvierten Kurse in Schneiderei, Friseurhandwerk, Konditorei, Erdnussverarbeitung, Kosmetikherstellung und anderen praktischen Berufen.
Dies ist Teil unseres Engagements zur Stärkung von Gemeinden und Familien und zur Förderung nachhaltiger Lebensgrundlagen für benachteiligte Familien.
Wir danken allen Partner*innen, die gekommen sind, und schätzen Ihre Unterstützung sehr.

Besuch des österreichischen Botschafters 🇦🇹

Am 1. und 2. März 2026 hatten wir das Vergnügen Jürgen Heissel, den österreichischen Botschafter für Ghana, begrüßen zu dürfen.

Während dieses hochkarätigen Besuchs reisten wir zu einigen unserer Partnergemeinden, um sich ein Bild von unseren Maßnahmen in den Bereichen Kinderschutz, Bildung , Armutsbekämpfung und Ernährungssicherheit zu machen. Dabei hatte er die Gelegenheit, sich aus erster Hand davon zu überzeugen, wie unsere Maßnahmen Familien stärken und das Leben benachteiligter Kinder und Haushalte im Norden Ghanas verbessern.

Wir sind dem österreichischen Botschafter 🇦🇹 sehr dankbar, dass er sich trotz seines vollen Terminkalenders die Zeit genommen hat, unsere Gemeinden zu besuchen, sich mit ihnen auszutauschen und sich von der Wirkung unserer Arbeit in unseren Gemeinden zu überzeugen.

Wir hatten viel Freude daran, mit ihm über unsere Projekte zu sprechen, und freuen uns darauf, ihn wieder bei uns begrüßen zu dürfen ☀️

On the 1st and 2nd of March, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming His Excellency Jurgen Heissel, the Austrian Ambassador to Ghana.

During this high-profile visit, His Excellency travelled to some of our partner communities to see our interventions in protection, , and . He also had the opportunity to see firsthand how our interventions are strengthening families and improving the lives of the vulnerable children and households across Northern Ghana.

We are deeply grateful to the Austrian Ambassador 🇦🇹, for making time out of his busy schedule to visit and engage with our communities and to witness the impact of the work being done in our communities.

We had a great time interacting with His Excellency on our projects, and we looking forward to welcoming him again.

Strengthening Staff Capacity on Child Protection, Safeguarding, and Case Management.

As an organization committed to community-driven solutions for community problems, BraveAurora conducted a two-day training workshop on Child Protection, Safeguarding, and Case Management for its staff in Walewale to ensure those who come into contact with the organization and its work are protected from abuse and exploitation.

The focused on core safeguarding principles, identifying and reducing risks of harm, reporting and confidentiality, and the practical application of case management approaches. Participants also reflected on ethical responsibilities, referral pathways, and coordinated responses to ensure child-centred and accountable programming.

This capacity-strengthening initiative reinforces BRAVEAURORA’s commitment to safeguarding, professional excellence, and continuous learning, while also strengthening collaboration with partners to uphold the safety, dignity, and -being of across all interventions.

Für eine ORF Reportage begleiteten uns Isabella Purkart vom ORF und Marcus Walter von Sternblende nach Ghana. Gemeinsam besuchten wir zahlreiche unserer Projekte und sprachen mit Menschen aus unseren Partnerdörfern, um die Wirkung unserer Arbeit erlebbar zu machen.
