After two years, Beyond Digits has ended.

Seven partners in six European countries worked together toward one goal: helping neurodivergent adults feel more confident managing their money.

Here's what we built:
- A training toolkit for learners and educators
- A 3D game where users run a virtual household
- A mobile app to track income and spending
- Mini-games for counting money, paying bills, and giving change

The project showed that small steps matter for building independence. Counting change or planning a simple budget helped open the door for learners, increasing confidence and leading many to start thinking about future careers.

BeyondDigits-Projektupdate: Barrierefreiheit und Inklusion durch die Richtlinien der ETSI EN 301 549

The BeyondDigits Project used ETSI 301549 v 3.2.1. guidelines to make our digital solutions accessible and inclusive. Accessibility ensures equal access for people of all abilities. Furthermore, it makes the digital experience easier and more effective. Therefore, it improves overall usability.

BeyondDigits-Projektupdate: Die Abschlusskonferenz findet am 29. September in Malta statt.

Mark your calendars, the Final Conference is taking place on 29 September in Malta.

After two years of research and co-creation to develop inclusive training materials to promote financial literacy, we are bringing educators, disability services and neurodivergent adults for a day of learning and sharing.

Expect a hands-on workshop, a panel discussion featuring the project's digital tools and the chance to connect with people working towards financial inclusion.

Beyond Digits: Das 3D-Digitalspiel und die mobile App

Managing money doesn't need to be complicated and the project has the tools to support neurodivergent adults to build real financial independence.

Their 3D Digital Game puts players in charge of a virtual household, where they can balance their income with essential costs and make choices about leisure spending. Every decision builds financial skills in a fun, accessible way.

The Mobile App brings that learning into daily life, allowing users to track income, plan purchases and monitor spending through an inclusive design.

BeyondDigits-Projekt-Update: Teilnehmende, die die Schulungsmaterialien von BeyondDigits testen, werden zunehmend sicherer im Rechnen, beim Überprüfen von Währungen und bei der selbstständigen Bewältigung alltäglicher finanzieller Entscheidungen.

BeyondDigits-Projekt-Update: Neurodivergente Erwachsene, die an den Pilotierungssitzungen von BeyondDigits teilgenommen haben, berichten, dass sie nach Abschluss der Schulung mehr Sicherheit im Verständnis von Produktkosten, Wert und alltäglichen finanziellen Transaktionen gewonnen haben.

The project isn’t just for designed for professionals, it also aims to make a real difference for neurodivergent adults.

The project's tools help neurodivergent adults better understand costs, value and everyday transactions. During the project's recent piloting session, those who followed our training reported having a better perception of the cost and value of products and feeling more confident about making transactions.

The next step for the project is to build on the feedback from support professionals and trainees and refine both the training materials and digital tools to make them even more impactful.

BeyondDigits-Projekt-Update: Teilnehmende, die die Schulungsmaterialien testen, werden zunehmend sicherer im Rechnen, beim Überprüfen von Währungen sowie bei der selbstständigen Durchführung alltäglicher finanzieller Entscheidungen.

The BeyondDigits project is helping professionals develop the skills they need to strengthen the financial literacy and ultimately the independence of neurodivergent individuals.

Educators who tested the training materials reported feeling more confident in delivering financial literacy training after completing the course. Neurodivergent participants also shared that the course’s role playing activities made the content easier to understand and apply.
