Mit vervierfachter Waffeleisen-Power 💪 und einer Auswahl an süßen und pikanten Waffeln (vegane Optionen vorhanden) möchten wir euch eine kleine Freude bereiten. 🧇🍓🫒 Kleine Stärkung in einer LV-Pause oder Snack nach der ÖH-Wahl; komm vorbei und hol dir deine Waffel ab. Mit Teil 4 endet heute die Vorstellung unseres Wahlprogramms! Auch die Universität muss sich hinsichtlich der Klimakrise deutlich positionieren und Nachhaltigkeit in allen Aspekten ihres Schaffens prioritisieren. Aufgabe der ÖH muss es in diesem Zusammenhang sein, diese Prozesse durch studentische Mitarbeit anzukurbeln.

With part 4 we end the introduction to our election programme today! As a university, we need to form and maintain a clear position regarding the ongoing climate crisis and prioritise sustainability in all aspects of our work. In this context, it is the duty of the ÖH, to support and enrich these processes through student participation.

Jede Person hat das Recht auf Bildung! 📚Damit jede Person, die eine Hochschule besuchen möchte das auch tun kann, müssen wir Rahmenbedingungen schaffen, die ein faires und spannendes Studium für alle Studierenden garantieren. 🤝 Der Studienerfolg darf nicht von der Brieftasche oder dem Bildungsgrad der Eltern abhängig sein. Aus diesem Grund setzen wir uns für ein faires Studium und einen freien Hochschulzugang ein! 💜

Every person has the right to education! 📚 In order for everyone that is interested in going to university to be able to do so, we need to create a framework that guarantees a fair and exciting course of study for all students. 🤝 Academic success must not be linked to the wallet or level of education of one’s parents. For this reason, we fight for fair studies and free university access! 💜

Heute machen wir weiter mit der Vorstellung unserer Wahlkampfforderungen. Auch wenn manche es nicht glauben wollen, die Universität ist kein von der Gesellschaft abgekapselter Raum. Gesellschaftspolitische Misstände sind daher auch innerhalb der universitären Strukturen spürbar und erschweren Personen aus marginalisierten Gruppen den (Studierenden-)Alltag. Aus diesem Grund setzen wir uns für eine diversitätsbewusste und diskriminierungsfreie Universität ein!

Today we continue with presenting our election programme. Some people may not want to believe it, but the university is not a place that is completely seperated from the rest of society. Sociopolitical issues can be also be felt within the structures of the university and often keep people from marginalized groups from successfully managing their daily (student) life. For this reason, we fight for a diversity-conscious and discrimination-free university!

With this post we introduce the last trio of our candidates for the ÖH-elections 2023. If you want to get to know us better, you can find us on the university's forecourt from Monday to Friday (ca. 11am to ca. 8pm) until the last voting day. We're looking forward to seeing you! :)

Hello, I am Markus and I’ve been a member of the PLUS since 2017. I am currently studying Geography in the Master’s programme. In addition to my commitment as the chairperson of the student representatives of Geography and in many other committees, I am most of all concerned with fighting for the rights of students in my in my function as the vice president of the senate at the university of Klagenfurt/Celovec. Being a member of the PLUS allows me to do so without following any party-interests and instead working on achieving improvements that really matter for students.

My name is Wolfi and I’ve been with the PLUS since the second half of 2020. Within the ÖH, I am the contact person for all sports students at the university Klagenfurt/Celovec and am also studying sports and history in the teacher training programme. Similar to my friends within the PLUS, I am very committed to a party-independent campus. Particularly the warmth and openness, but also the commitment of all PLUS’ies is the reason why I am also a candidate.

Hi, I'm Julia and I've been with PLUS since 2017 because I stand for an open and diverse campus. A student's union that is independent of parties is essential for this, I think. PLUS stands for cooperation and community - cause discrimination and party political interests don't deserve to take up space in ÖH. Our motto is "by students for students". At the moment I'm getting my Master's degree in Media and Convergence Management and I've been working for the ÖH information department as a graphic design clerk since 2020. My work with ÖH started way earlier though. In 2017 I helped to set up the "Essen für alle" project and even had the pleasure of taking on the project as a clerk for the socio-political department at ÖH for a year.

Hey, I am Felix and I have been with the PLUS for three and a half years and done my part in fighting for fair and sustainable university politics. I don’t like being told what to do by higher-ups, which is why I particularly like the independence of the PLUS – we get to decide how we want to stand up for student interests without external limitations. Aside from that, it’s fun to organize events for students to meet new people and simply have a good time. Apart from the PLUS I also currently work as a study representative for Psychology in order to establish an engaging and fair study programme.

Hi, I’m Fridi. I‘ve been active with PLUS for four years now and am fighting for open university access and a diverse and fair university. It is important for me to ensure that all students at our university are treated equally and enjoy the same rights. Apart from that, I am working towards a green campus and a sustainable university within the context of the PLUS.

Hi, I’m Beate, one of the newest members of PLUS! I’m currently studying Philosophy and Psychology while also working in the ÖH department for environmental and climate politics. It is particularly important for me that we as students are able to participate in decision-making processes. Additionally, the university should be a space where everyone can feel safe and welcome while accomplishing their studies.
