First part of 2026 Trail- and Mountainraces is finished and our athletes are back in Kenya (unfortunately Ruth missed her connection flight in Cairo due to delay of flight from Milano and has to wait 24h for next option to proceed to Kenya) and after short regeneration period they will start their preparation for summer-competition-season.

We are still impressed by the strong team performance at GTWS at Ledro Sky. Setting the pace from startline Philemon and Saoli dominated the race, tried hard to challenge prerace favourite Elhousine and finally finished in pos 2 and 3.
IMPORTANT for overall result: thanks to segment points Philemon scored 210 points, same amount as Elhousine.
Patrick proofed his talent by finishing strong and esuring a 5th place. Not what he is aiming for but a acceptable start into the season after facing an injury previously this year.

Ruth took part in her first ever GTWS race and proofed her talent. Just outside podium position until km18 she struggled because of dehydration caused by high temperatures in last part und was lucky to finish by crawling last metres to the finishline. Impressive spirit and after short time she had recovered well. Pos 6 under such conditions is not that bad ;-)!
