Kreative Zukunftsgestaltung ... war das Thema des Workshops, in dem von Peter Hofer (https://damma-wos.at) insgesamt 9 TrainerInnen aus 4 Organisationen ausgebildet werden. Das gesamte Training dauert ein Jahr und ist sehr praktisch orientiert. In Zukunft können so viele Jugendliche unterstützt werden nach der Pflichtschule ihren Weg zu finden.

Shaping the future creatively ... was the theme of the workshop in which Peter Hofer (https://damma-wos.at) is training a total of nine trainers from four organisations. The entire training programme lasts one year and has a strong practical focus. In future, this will enable many young people to be supported in finding their way after leaving compulsory education.

Wichtig für den Winter ... waren die warmen Jacken, die schon im Herbst übergeben werden konnten. Das Leben ohne Heizung kann in Nepal im Winter recht kühl werden, da leisten die Jacken gute Dienste 🙂.

Important for the winter.....were the warm jackets, which were able to be handed out as early as autumn. Life without heating can get quite chilly in Nepal during the winter, so the jackets come in very handy 🙂.

Jede neue Gruppe ... von Mädchen im Hostel absolviert den Computerkurs um in der Klasse 11 und 12 damit arbeiten zu können.
Die Mädchen sind stolz und diese Fähigkeiten werden ihnen jedenfalls im Leben helfen.

Every new group ... of girls at the hostel completes the computer course so that they can use computers in Years 11 and 12.
The girls are proud, and these skills will certainly help them in life.

Selbstbewusst ... kämpfen die Mädchen im Kinderhaus von OVN um ihre Ausbildung nach der Schulpflicht fortzusetzen. Im Herbst wurden die Möglichkeiten und Notwendigkeiten besprochen, heuer wird es ein Pilotprojekt geben. Dabei sollen Workshops mit den Mädchen Optionen aufzeigen, die ihren Interessen und ihren Fähigkeiten entsprechen.

Vielen Dank an die Schöck Familien Stiftung, durch ihr Vertrauen und die finanzielle Unterstützung können neue Wege beschritten werden.

With confidence.....the girls at the OVN Children’s Home are fighting to continue their education after compulsory schooling. In the autumn, the possibilities and requirements were discussed; this year, a pilot project will be launched. Workshops with the girls will aim to highlight options that match their interests and abilities.

Langfristig nachhaltig ... kann die Landwirtschaft nur mit eigenem Saatgut sein. Wir freuen uns, dass die Frauen aktiv privat ihre biologischen Samen aufbereiten und untereinander austauschen.
Spezielle Sorten werden auch in den Modellfarmen aufbewahrt.

In the long term, agriculture can only be sustainable.. if it uses its own seeds. We are delighted that the women are actively processing their own organic seeds and exchanging them amongst themselves.
Special varieties are also preserved on the model farms.

Für sich eintreten ... lernen die Mädchen bei OVN schon sehr früh. Auch nach außen treten sie sicher auf und treten für ihre Rechte ein.
Wir sind stolz auf sie und hoffen, 2026 mit den neuen Workshops aktiv ihre Zukunft zu gestalten.

Standing up for themselves.....is something the girls at OVN learn from a very early age. They also carry themselves with confidence in public and stand up for their rights.
We are proud of them and hope to actively shape their future in 2026 with the new workshops.

Selbstständig ... und selbstbewußt verkaufen die Frauen im Dorf aber auch über Broker ihr Biogemüse. Auch die Betreuung des biologischen Anbaus erfolgt selbstständig durch die Frauen im Dorf.

Independently ... and with confidence, the women in the village sell their organic vegetables, including through brokers. The women in the village also manage the organic cultivation themselves.

Konferenzen ... und Unterstützung von jungen StudentInnen sind Teil des Studentenlebens unserer Stipendiatin Binu. Sie ist bereits in ihrem dritten Jahr und freut sich darauf ihr Wissen über erdbebensicheres Bauen in Zukunft auch selbst anwenden zu können.
