Base Graz is a non-profit organisation located in Graz Austria, that brings people together from all corners of the planet to create happier healthier communities. We are based at Seddwell center and run an International welcome office and community hub. We provide a range of cultural, educational and wellbeing experiences, services and adventures to make our members feel at home and supported. It was wonderful to see some new faces at our German Conversation Group today! 🥰 A big thank you to Sarah H. for leading the group and creating such a welcoming space to learn together.

Learning a new language isn't always easy, but the best way to improve is to practise – and it's much more fun when we do it together! 🗣️

We offer several opportunities to practise your German or English in a friendly, relaxed and supportive community setting. It's also a lovely way to meet new people, make connections and feel more at home in Graz. 🤗

We love discovering new cultures through food, learning from one another, and celebrating how food connects us all 💛🌍

🍂 Ayurveda & Natural Resilience 🌿

🤧 The season of colds and flu is slowly making its way into our homes. As the weather becomes colder and the days shorter, it can be helpful to give a little more attention to warmth, nourishment, digestion and rest.

🌱 In Ayurveda, our natural resilience is understood through different concepts, including:

🔥 Agni – digestive strength
✨ Ojas – vitality and deep nourishment
💪 Bala – strength
🌿 Vyadhikshamatva – the capacity to resist imbalance and illness

Try this simple autumn ritual:

🫚 Fresh ginger + 🌾 fennel seeds + 🤎 a small piece of cinnamon, steeped in hot water for a few minutes.

Enjoy a warm, aromatic infusion slowly, especially when the weather outside turns colder. ☕

🌼 Ayurveda reminds us that supporting ourselves doesn't always mean adding more. Sometimes, it's about returning to simple, regular habits that nourish us — warmth, nourishing food, rest and moments of calm. 🧘‍💛

🌟 Base Graz at AnnenVibes 2026! 💛

Yesterday, Base Graz joined AnnenVibes for a fun day celebrating the local businesses, organisations and community that make Annenstraße such a special part of Graz!

It was a great opportunity to introduce more people to our Base community, share what we do, and chat about the importance of connection, belonging and creating happier, healthier communities. 💬🤝

We had some lovely conversations with visitors, met new faces, shared ideas and, best of all, welcomed several new kohaship members who joined on the spot! 🎉

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers - Anuschka , Fina, Sarah K., Gabrielle and Mo for staffing our stand and helping set up. Thank you for always showing up, giving your time and energy, and supporting Base Graz - you guys rock! 👏

🌟 AnnenVibes 2026 – Rediscovering Annenstraße! 🌟

Join us this Friday, 16 October, for a day of discovery, creativity and community along Graz’s Annenstraße! 💛

🍎 THE ART OF RECEIVING

Autumn is the season of abundance.

Look around.. Trees that spent months growing, flowering and nourishing their fruit eventually begin to let it fall. Nature knows how to receive. It receives sunlight. It receives rain. It receives nourishment from the earth. And then, when the time is right, it gives.

Perhaps we can learn something from this rhythm.

We are often very comfortable with doing, giving, caring and offering.

But what about receiving?

Receiving help. - Receiving kindness. - Receiving rest. - Receiving nourishment. - Receiving love. - Receiving without immediately feeling that we need to give something back.

🍎 What if receiving is also part of abundance?

This October, notice where you might allow yourself to receive a little more.

A compliment. - A warm meal. - A moment of rest. - The beauty of the season. - The support of another person.

This Autumn can become a time to receive and welcome. 🍂
