Und diesmal hat leider der Regen gewonnen ⛈️😔.
Wetter- und gewitterbedingt mussten wir den Social Soccer Cup gestern bereits am frühen Nachmittag vorzeitig beenden.
So gerne wir die zweite Halbzeit mit Finale und Rahmenprogramm noch ausgespielt hätten – Sicherheit hat dann eben doch immer Heimrecht. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle Besucher*innen und Helferlein für eure Geduld, eure Flexibilität und eure spontane Unterstützung an diesem nicht ganz einfachen Samstag 🙏.
Vor allem aber bedanken wir uns bei den 16 Teams und ihren Betreuer*innen, die auch heuer wieder den Weg aus halb Europa in die Marktgemeinde Gratwein-Straßengel auf sich genommen haben. Viele von euch verbringen dafür viele Stunden im Bus, um beim Social Soccer Cup dabei zu sein – das ist alles andere als selbstverständlich und wissen wir wirklich sehr zu schätzen.
Wir gratulieren dem Team „Mucha“ aufgrund seiner starken Leistungen in der Vorrunde zum Titelgewinn 2026 und wünschen allen Teams noch ein schönes Wochenende und eine gute und sichere Heimreise 🫶!

And unfortunately, the rain won out this time ⛈️😔.
Due to the weather and thunderstorms, we had to end the Social Soccer Cup early yesterday, in the early afternoon.
As much as we would have loved to finish the second half with the final and the supporting program — safety always comes first.
A heartfelt thank you to all visitors and volunteers for your patience, flexibility, and spontaneous support on this rather challenging Saturday. Above all, we’d like to thank the 16 teams and their coaches, who once again made the trip from all over Europe to Gratwein-Straßengel this year.
Many of you spend countless hours on the bus just to be part of the Social Soccer Cup—that’s anything but a given, and we truly appreciate it. We congratulate Team “Mucha” on winning the 2026 title thanks to their strong performance in the preliminary round, and we wish all teams a wonderful rest of the weekend and a safe journey home 🫶!

Normalerweise verbringen sie ihre Wochenenden im Stadion in Liebenau, im Allianz Stadion in Wien oder in der Raiffeisen Arena in Linz. ⚽ Dieses Wochenende sind sie aber beim Social Soccer Cup in der Marktgemeinde Gratwein-Straßengel zu Gast! 🙌
Der GAK 1902 schickt mit Ludwig Vraa und Beres Owusu heuer gleich zwei seiner Spieler zum SSC.
Und das mit einer ganz besonderen Mission: Im Finale übernehmen die beiden Bundesligaprofis mit internationaler Erfahrung das Ehrencoaching unserer beiden Finalteams. Damit gibt es im Endspiel Unterstützung direkt aus der österreichischen Bundesliga! 🏆
Eines ist schon jetzt sicher: Das Finale beim Social Soccer Cup 2026 wird damit nicht nur auf dem Platz, sondern auch an der Seitenlinie ein echtes Highlight. ⚽🔥

They usually spend their weekends at the stadium in Liebenau, the Allianz Stadium in Vienna, or the Raiffeisen Arena in Linz. ⚽ This weekend, however, they’ll be guests at the Social Soccer Cup in Gratwein-Straßengel! 🙌
GAK 1902 is sending two of its players, Ludwig Vraa and Beres Owusu, to the SSC this year. And they’re on a very special mission: In the final, these two Bundesliga pros with international experience will serve as coaches for our two finalist teams. That means the final will feature support straight from the Austrian Bundesliga! 🏆
One thing is already certain: The 2026 Social Soccer Cup final will be a real highlight - not just on the field, but also on the sidelines. ⚽🔥

Vor drei Jahren durften wir mit Samson Baidoo eine der damals größten Zukunftshoffnungen des österreichischen Fußballs beim Social Soccer Cup in der Marktgemeinde Gratwein-Straßengel begrüßen. ⚽️
Aus dieser „Zukunftshoffnung“ ist mittlerweile ein französischer Cupsieger geworden: Samson wurde nicht nur ins österreichische Nationalteam einberufen, sondern stand in den vergangenen drei Jahren auch bereits zwölfmal in der UEFA Champions League auf dem Platz. Mit RC Lens wurde er französischer Vizemeister und wird bei Transfergerüchten inzwischen regelmäßig mit einigen der größten Clubs Europas in Verbindung gebracht. 🤩
Umso mehr freut es uns, dass Samson trotz dieser beeindruckenden Erfolge dem SSC verbunden geblieben ist, heuer einen ganz besonderen Award für unser Turnier zur Verfügung stellt und darüber hinaus die Patenschaft für den Social Soccer Cup 2026 übernommen hat. 😊

Three years ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming Samson Baidoo - one of Austrian soccer’s rising stars at the time - to the Social Soccer Cup. ⚽️
That “rising star” has now become a French cup champion: Samson has not only been called into the Austrian national team but has also played 12 times in the UEFA Champions League over the past three years. With RC Lens, he finished as French vice-champion and is now regularly linked in transfer rumors with some of Europe’s biggest clubs. 🤩
We’re even more excited that, despite these impressive achievements, Samson has remained connected to the SSC, presenting a very special award for our tournament this year and also taking on the role of ambassador for the 2026 Social Soccer Cup. 😊

Manche Teams beim Social Soccer Cup kommen aus dem Nachbarort.
Andere Teams kommen aus dem Nachbarland.
Und dann … gibt es da das Team „Vilnius Social Club" das sich heute auf eine ganz besondere Auswärtsfahrt eingelassen hat.
Knapp 19 Stunden im Bus (!), unzählige Kilometer auf der Straße und wahrscheinlich mehr Raststätten als Trainingseinheiten in dieser Woche. 😉
Damit ist Vilnius SC ganz sicher ein heißer Anwärter auf den Pokal für die längste Anreise, die je ein Team auf sich genommen hat, um beim Social Soccer Cup in der Marktgemeinde Gratwein-Straßengel dabei zu sein! 🏆🚌
Umso mehr freut es uns, dass ihr diese Reise auf euch genommen habt und am Samstag Teil unseres Turniers seid.

Some teams participating in the Social Soccer Cup are from the neighboring town.
Other teams are from the neighboring country.
And then … there’s team "Vilnius SC", which embarked on a very special road trip today.
Nearly 19 hours on the bus (!), countless kilometers on the road, and probably more rest stops than training sessions this week. 😉
That makes Vilnius SC a clear favorite for the trophy for the longest journey any team has ever undertaken to participate in the SSC in Gratwein-Straßengel! 🏆🚌
We’re all the more delighted that you went on this journey and will be part of our tournament on Saturday.

Nach 28 Jahren bestreitet das Nationalteam von Österreich morgen früh zum ersten Mal wieder ein Spiel bei einer Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft und startet gegen Jordanien in das Turnier.
Im Tor der Österreicher steht dabei vermutlich der 30-jährige Salzburger Alexander Schlager.
Und genau der hat - bevor es für ihn auf die große WM-Bühne geht - noch eine persönliche Botschaft für die Teilnehmer*innen unseres Turniers in der Marktgemeinde Gratwein-Straßengel. 🎥⚽

After 28 years, the Austrian national team will play their first World Cup match tomorrow morning, kicking off the tournament against Jordan.
The 30-year-old Salzburg native Alexander Schlager is expected to start in goal for Austria.
And just before he steps onto the big World Cup stage, he has a personal message for the participants of our tournament. 🎥⚽
