As the place where curative mineral water rises to the ground, our spa towns are hotspots for professionals in medical care, health and wellness.



Step into the laboratory of a pharmacist who prepares a product with mineral spring water as a medical component.

The Ludwig Pharmacy is the birthplace of the exclusive and innovative njuskin skincare line, which uses healing water from the Rakoczy spring. Apotheker Bayer



The Rakoczy Spring in Bad Kissingen. ⛲ The healing water is used for a range of spa treatments, including being added to skincare products.

Magdaléna Vereskova, Head of Medical Sciences at the Institut lázeňství a balneologie (Institute of Spa and Balneology) has been featured in the latest issue of Spa Business Magazine. 📰

The use of Virtual Reality in spa facilities continues a long tradition of scientific and medical innovations taking place in The Great Spa Towns of Europe!

The Institute was established in 2019 by the Karlovy Vary Region, Karlovy Vary with the goal of renewing research in the field of spas and balneology in the Czech Republic. 👨‍🔬 🧪

From the objective effects of spa treatment on the human organism to the socioeconomic aspects of spas, this public research institute continues developing our understanding of spa traditions.
