WINS is preparing for its next phase of leadership as Mr Lars van Dassen concludes his tenure as Executive Director at the end of 2026.

Mr van Dassen has led WINS since 1 January 2021, following more than three decades of work in nuclear non-proliferation and security. Under his leadership, WINS continued to support the professionalism and competence of nuclear security practitioners through knowledge exchange, training, certification and evaluation services.

“WINS is grateful to Lars for his dedicated service and outstanding contribution to the organisation as well as to the wider nuclear security community,” said Dr John Barrett, Chair of the WINS Board.
