Last week Madalin Blidaru visited Warsaw and handed our founding documents to Aleksandra Mirkowicz. We wouldn't be ourselves if we haven't had an online meeting to discuss future projects and upcoming events!

Working internationally is enriching experience but being able to meet in person is always welcomed with gratitude and joy.

First Board Meeting of Romanian chapter and our official HQ association COMREAL!

Having made this major step towards legal organization makes us proud and happy to be able to start sharing with you on a greater scale mission to reach a common ground! This was an adventurous journey from an idea to implementation that showed us that nothing is impossible.

Our co - founder Aleksandra Mirkowicz was happy to share tip on finding common ground and tools to address communication with opposing views. We also had a chance to try debating!

Meet co - founders and find out what motivated each of us to create A New Reality. Finding Common Ground. Meet Nadzezhda Hil !

Nadzezhda has a BA in International Tourism Management in Belarus. During university years, she had an internship in logistics and after graduation worked for almost a year in a travel agency. Since 2018 has been following in Germany a MSc in International Business Studies. During the last semester, she took part in the UN Model project, developing skills in public speaking, negotiation and dived into politics. Currently, Nadia is working for an IT company in Berlin.

🌐There is no culture of dialogue without freedom of speech

Recently our co-founder, Aleksandra Mirkowicz, participated in a conference in Vienna focused on freedom of speech in Europe. Aleksandra is a human rights lawyer who combines efforts in changing culture of dialogue working in the fields of freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

With the rising challenges of polarization across the globe, it is our collective responsibility to address these issues head-on. Through collaborative efforts, we strive to bridge gaps, build connections, and promote open dialogue among diverse communities.

Aleksandra Mirkowicz's participation in the conference is just one example of our ongoing dedication to creating lasting change. By engaging with legal professionals and thought leaders, we gain valuable insights and innovative strategies to combat the growing divisiveness in our societies.

Attention all European professionals! 🌍

We are excited to announce the first event of the "Reduce Divide" project, aimed at reducing polarization and building a culture of dialogue in Europe. Project is organized by Stowarzyszenie Pontes and shares the same values and a goal as a New Reality. Finding CommonGround 🤝

Aleksandra Mirkowicz, co-founder of A New Reality. Finding Common Ground, will be leading a workshop on dialogue and pluralism in action in Europe. 🗣️

Participants from three Central and Eastern European countries will be attending this event in Warsaw on May 6th, 2023. 📅

RUN RUN RUN watch video of co - founder Annika Weidmann who shares what motivates her to bring the Common ground Project to live.

Annika Weidmann is a mathematics student at ETH Zurich. She is a member of the Österreichische Studienstiftung. wo of her favourite subjects at school were philosophy and religion because there the best discussions evolved. Especially in those discussions, she realized that a certain clear and focused way of discussing, which seemed so natural for some people, was rather difficult for others.

🌸Everything is blooming, including our very first office!

🎯But how did our statute travel with us to register our youth NGO as an international team? It was an amazing journey!

First, after countless online meetings, we decided that our first office would be located in Bucharest, Romania. Our statute then traveled with Mădălin C. Blidaru to Vienna where he was attending a conference. While in Vienna, he met with Thiện Đạt Trần, who is based in Vienna, and they had the chance to discuss the venue for an upcoming event. Annika Weidmann traveled from Zurich to Vienna and from Vienna to Warsaw during her winter break and delivered the statute to Aleksandra Mirkowicz. Together, they spent time in Warsaw before Aleksandra sent the statute to Carmen Murgu in Brussels.

📬Although it was stressful to trust the post with the almost-signed document, thankfully, everything went well! 🥳

Our statute was then sent to Bucharest, and it was ready to be submitted.

On April 12th, 2023, we received some great news! With the help of spring, we have bloomed, and we are now ready to bring new projects to the ground. We are excited to grow and make a difference in our communities 🌸

At A New Reality. Finding Common Ground, we're on a mission to bridge the gap created by the lack of communication among polarized groups.

❓Who we are? We are a group of young europeans from five different countries. We have different professional backgrounds representing medicine, law, mathematics, international relations, business development, and academia. We have differing views, yet we have found our common ground and have created this platform together. We want to share that with you.

🎯We equip people with communication skills and encourage dialogue to find common ground. We believe that by working together, we can co-create solutions that bring about policy changes and shape the public debate.
