Our future is not something we wait for; it’s something we protect.

Finafinau is calling on our high school students across American Samoa to show us what tausi le fanua ma le sami truly means through your own lens, your own voice, and your own story.

This is more than a video challenge. This is about fa‘asamoa.�

It’s about who we are as people of the ocean and the land, and it’s about the responsibility we carry to care for what has always cared for us.

The goal: create an original 60–90 second video showing what protecting our land and ocean means to you and why it matters for our future. The theme is “MO LO TATOU LUMANA‘I”

Grateful hearts from our LEO Club 💛

Our recent visit to Aunu’u Island was more than just a trip—it was a meaningful experience that left a lasting impact on our student leaders.

At A.P. Lutali Elementary School, our LEO members had the opportunity to introduce the club, connect with the younger students, and share simple joys through coloring activities. But more than that, it allowed our students to step into leadership, practice compassion, and truly understand what service looks like beyond the classroom.

Moments like these help shape their character—building empathy, confidence, and a deeper sense of responsibility to serve others. It reminded them that even small acts of kindness can create a big difference in someone’s day.

The experience didn’t end there. Through exploring the island and participating in a coastal clean-up, our students were able to appreciate the importance of caring for the environment and giving back to the community.

We are deeply thankful to the Lions Club of Pago Pago for sponsoring this opportunity. Your support is helping mold our students into leaders with heart, purpose, and a passion for service.

Together with the Lions Club of Pago Pago, South Pacific Academy, HOSA & LEO Clubs, ASCC Nursing Program, and the American Samoa Department of Health, we are taking a stand for a healthier future.

🌊🌿 Serving Together for a Cleaner Tomorrow 🌿🌊

Today, the SPA LEO Club and the Lions Club of Pago Pago came together in unity for a beach clean-up in Utulei. 💛

What a powerful reminder that service knows no age — when student leaders and community leaders work hand in hand, real impact happens. From picking up plastics to clearing debris along the shoreline, every small act contributed to protecting our ocean and preserving the beauty of our island home.

Utulei is more than just a place — it’s part of our story, our culture, and our responsibility. 🌺 By caring for our environment today, we are teaching the next generation the value of stewardship, leadership, and community collaboration.

Proud of our LEOs for showing initiative and heart, and grateful to the Lions Club of Pago Pago for mentoring and partnering in service. Together, we don’t just clean beaches — we build character, strengthen community, and inspire action.

🌟 November is Diabetes Awareness & Prevention Month! 🌟

Our LEO Club and HOSA Club officers prepared a special three-part presentation for our Elementary, Middle School, and High School students on November 26, 2025. Each session included a fun icebreaker, an engaging discussion on diabetes awareness and prevention, and a guided exercise to highlight the importance of physical activity.

To measure learning, students also completed pre- and post-session surveys.

We’re proud of our student leaders for their dedication to promoting health and wellness in our school community! 💙🙌
