As we welcome the New Year 2026, we reflect on a year rooted in service, culture, education, and wellness.
In 2025, the Agency for Better Living Endeavors (ABLE) was proud to empower our youth through the Discovering Amerika Samoa Summer Program, helping them explore our islands, strengthen cultural identity, and build confidence grounded in pride and understanding.
We also brought our community together through events like the , a signature annual event that intentionally centered culture, education, and community artistry. More than a celebration, the festival served as a space for learning, intergenerational connection, and cultural continuity, reinforcing the role of shared experiences in strengthening families and sustaining cultural identity.
During the Alzheimerās Awareness Month of November, ABLE centered on health, education, and compassion through wellness cooking demonstrations, community panel discussions, and the Manatua le Mananoa Concert. This month also marked a meaningful milestone - the creation and introduction of the Samoan word for Alzheimerās disease, Mananoa, giving our community language to better understand, discuss, and support those affected.
Every program and event this year was made possible by our amazing volunteers, families, partners, and all of our supporters. Your time, trust, and belief in this work continue to shape lasting impact.
As we step into 2026, we move forward together - committed to uplifting lives, strengthening families, and honoring our culture.
