Thanks to the generosity of Gary MaDougal and the MacDougal Family Foundation in the United States of America, we are delighted to have produced a new book!

This new book was written by Catherine Gillies and explores the history of Clan MacDougall, one of the oldest clans in Scotland. Its people can be found across the world. When they come home it is often to Dunollie, an ancient stone castle overlooking the seaways of Argyll near the small town of Oban. It has been the Seat of the Clan MacDougall since the 12th century and remains so today.

As the centuries passed, the Chiefs built a fine house below, and now people of all clans and none can visit and enjoy the heritage at Dunollie, before heading out to explore the many places, castles and ecclesiastical sites where the extraordinary story of the Clan MacDougall was played out over more than 800 years.
