Celebrating 20 years of community, solidarity, and impact! 🌟 Since this is our 20th anniversary year, we want to share some meaningful statistics about the volunteers and projects that made this journey possible.

Today, we are looking at our community’s demographics over the years. Out of all the wonderful people who have traveled and worked with us:
🙋‍♀️ 72.8% identified as female
🙋‍♂️ 27% identified as male
🌈 0.2% identified as trans / non-binary

✨ A brief reflection on these numbers:
Historically, community work, social intervention, and international volunteering have been deeply driven by women and diverse identities. This 72.8% reflects a powerful reality: the global network of care, empathy, and social change is heavily sustained by female and diverse leadership.

At the same time, we celebrate every single person—regardless of their gender identity—who chose to cross borders, open their hearts, and build a more equitable world with us.

Thank you for being part of these 20 years. Here’s to many more! 🥂🌍

Argentina mourns a legend 🖤

Last Friday, our country lost one of its greatest cultural icons: Carlos "Indio" Solari.

As the frontman of the mythic rock band Los Redondos, he was much more than a musician; he was a popular poet and a voice of resistance for generations. His massive concerts became passionate ritual gatherings where hundreds of thousands found community and identity. His physical presence is gone, but his eternal lyrics will never be silenced.

June 3rd, marks 11 years since the first (Not One Woman Less) march in Argentina. What started as a collective cry against femicides has grown into a powerful, historic movement fighting against gender-based violence and institutional neglect.✊💜

As a community-led organization, we know that safety, equality, and justice are built from the ground up. Gender violence isn’t just an individual issue; it impacts our neighborhoods, our youth, and our collective future.

Today, we continue to stand in solidarity with the women, girls, and dissidents who take to the streets to demand:

Effective public policies and budget for protection.

An end to economic and structural violence.

A society where everyone can live free from fear.

The fight doesn’t end when the march is over. We keep organizing, supporting each other, and building safer spaces every single day.

Today, May 25th, Argentina commemorates the May Revolution (Revolución de Mayo), a historic milestone where a group of people chose to unite, raise their voices, and work collectively toward a shared, independent, and supportive future.

For us, the values of that revolution aren't stuck in history books. They are brought to life every single day on the ground:
👉 In every meal prepared with love at the community kitchens.
👉 In the youth's drive to learn and thrive within local cooperatives.
👉 In the cultural exchange of every volunteer who arrives with the desire to transform reality hand-in-hand with the neighborhoods.

True independence and social transformation are never achieved in isolation; they are built in networks, through grassroots organization, empathy, and daily commitment.

Did you know that in the heart of Buenos Aires, there is a monument that tells the story of Argentina’s golden age and its deep cultural roots? 🇦🇷✨

This is the Torre Monumental (historically known as Torre de los Ingleses), located right in Retiro. Built in 1916, it was a gift from the British community to commemorate the centennial of the May Revolution.

But it’s much more than just a beautiful clock tower. For Argentina, it represents a bridge between eras:

🚂 The Era of Expansion: Standing tall next to the Retiro railway station, it marks the time when Argentina became a global economic hub, connected by tracks that crossed the entire country.

📜 A Symbol of Resilience: Following the Malvinas/Falklands War in 1982, it was renamed Torre Monumental, turning it into a space of profound historical reflection and national identity.

🏙️ A Gateway to the City: For decades, this square has been the first thing millions of immigrants, travelers, and workers see when arriving in Buenos Aires.

At , we believe that understanding a country's history is the first step to truly connecting with its community.

✊️ Today we march in defense of free, quality public education, and we demand compliance with the University Funding Law.

Education is a legal right. We are calling on the government to comply with the University Financing Law passed by Congress. This is not just a request; it is a demand for the rule of law and the protection of our public institutions.

Underfunding public universities directly harms communities and stalls social progress.

❗️ Enforce the Law: The government must fulfill the budget requirements established by Congress.

❗️ Fund the Future: Without a proper budget, there is no research, no teaching, and no social intervention.

❗️ Protect the Right to Learn: Public universities are the engine of social mobility.
