En un hospital, una cree que va a ofrecer ayuda a personas vulnerables, pero en realidad aprende a conectar de la forma más humana. 💛
Aprendemos de los gestos pequeños: una mirada (a veces a los ojos y otras tantas, a una pared).
Celebramos una conversación, las ganas de comer o de jugar. 🎲🍽️
Respetamos las lágrimas, las pausas y los silencios.
Muchas veces media la palabra, pero otras tantas no.
En un hospital, la alegría se vuelve misión, y el amor y la vocación, la fuerza. ✨

🏥 What is it like to volunteer in a hospital in Argentina?
At first, you may think you are going to help vulnerable people. But in reality, you learn how to connect in the most human way. 💛
You learn from the smallest gestures — a glance (sometimes into someone’s eyes, and many other times at a wall).
You celebrate conversations, the desire to eat, or the willingness to play. 🎲🍽️
You learn to respect tears, pauses, and silence.
Sometimes words are present, and many other times they are not.
In a hospital, joy becomes a mission, while love and vocation become the driving force. ✨
🤝 CIVHA is the Hospital Volunteering Coordination Network, bringing together more than 90 hospitals across Argentina.
As a volunteer, you may support activities such as:
🩺 Assisting patients with everyday needs (guidance, food, clothing, hygiene items, etc.)
📣 Participating in health awareness and prevention campaigns
👩⚕️ Supporting healthcare staff
💬 Accompanying patients’ families during difficult moments
