Introducing the Acacia Marksmen Club
Our District Grand Master, Rt W Bro Richard Cooper, convened a special meeting for the primary purpose of formally presenting the Acacia Marksmen Club, the first Special Interest Club in our District.
Presided over by W.Bro. AGD DGReg, this new club caters to Brethren with a keen interest in fi****ms, shooting sports, hunting and gunsmithing.
Light Blue Masons and Prospective Candidates were the special invited guests of the evening, marking a fantastic opportunity for them to discover the club's vision.
In addition, W.Bro. AGD introduced his book, “Idoneidad en manejo de armas de fuego”, and guests enjoyed a practical dry-fire laser training session with professional training equipment. In the true spirit of Masonic benevolence, all proceeds raised during the event were donated to the District charitable projects.

A Historic Masonic Journey Across Chile

During his recent visit to Chile, our District Grand Master, Rt. W. Bro. Richard Cooper, attended the Installation Meeting of Straits of Magellan Lodge No. 10069 in Punta Arenas, the southernmost Lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE).

He then traveled to Valparaíso to attend the Installation Meeting of The Lodge of Harmony No. 1411. The event concluded with a gathering at the home of Nany, widow of the late W. Bro. John MacGregor. This warm reception, a cherished tradition during her late husband’s lifetime, is now graciously kept alive by his widow.

Finally, the journey concluded in the capital city of Santiago de Chile, where the District Grand Master attended the Installation Ceremony of the new Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Chile, M.W. Bro. Juan Eduardo Urrutia Bordegaray. This memorable visit further strengthened the historic fraternal bonds between English and Chilean Freemasonry.

Celebrating fellowship and brotherhood in our District.

Our District Grand Master, W. Bro. Richard Cooper, gathered members and guests for a special evening aimed at strengthening fraternal bonds, honoring our Light Blue Masons, and connecting with prospective candidates.

It was a night where British tradition, Freemasonry, and culture came together. Attendees enjoyed a fantastic Scottish bagpipe performance by W. Bro. Rodrigo Saler and Bro. Leonardo Mackerlie.

The perfect finale to a night of friendship came as everyone sang "Auld Lang Syne," written by our Brother Robert Burns. Thank you to everyone who made this evening so memorable!

Organized by Trevor Mold Lodge No. 3293, our District Grand Master, RW Bro. Richard Cooper, attended a demonstration of the Initiation Ceremony as practiced in London by the Emulation Lodge of Improvement. The flawless ritual was led by W Bro. Daniel Waissbluth Hayne, DGJW—the only Emulation preceptor in the Americas—and Master of Straits of Magellan Lodge No. 10069, whose officers joined the demonstration team. Drawing a massive attendance from both the English Constitution and the Grand Lodge of Argentina, the event underscored the importance of maintaining London ritual standards to preserve masonic excellence and tradition.

A Historic Milestone for the Royal Arch in Paraguay

Our Deputy Grand Superintendent, E.Comp. Richard Cooper, participated in the Convocation to receive Reddish Chapter No. 3615 into the District Grand Chapter of South America, Southern Division. Originally consecrated in England in 1926, the Chapter has officially transferred its charter to Asunción, Paraguay, marking the first time the Holy Royal Arch has been established in the country.

During this landmark ceremony, the new Principals were formally installed: E.Comp. Jonathan Igulden as First Principal, E.Comp. Derlis Acosta as Second Principal, and E.Comp. Pablo Lesme as Third Principal. The arrival of this prestigious Chapter—long awaited and achieved through the dedicated effort of many Companions—is a significant milestone for English Freemasonry in the region, reflecting the growth and expansion of our District in this new era.

Our District Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother Richard Cooper, honoured the installation ceremony of Most Worshipful Brother José Miguel Fernández Zacur as Grand Master of the Gran Logia Simbólica del Paraguay for a new term. Representing the United Grand Lodge of England, Bro. Cooper delivered fraternal greetings and congratulations on behalf of His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent, Most Worshipful Grand Master.

During his visit to Paraguay, the District Grand Master also had the distinct pleasure of installing Worshipful Brother Rolando Rojas into the Chair as Worshipful Master of Asuncion Lodge N* 10.006, enjoying the exceptional hospitality shown by the members of English Freemasonry in Paraguayan lands.

We extend our sincere appreciation for the impeccable organisation and the superb facilities of the Grand Lodge, which provided a magnificent setting for these significant events.

The District Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Richard Cooper, together with the Active Officers of the District Grand Lodge, received the visit of the British Ambassador to Argentina His Excellency Mr David Cairns at the seat of the District Grand Lodge of South America, Southern Division in Buenos Aires.

During the visit, the Ambassador was briefed on the wide range of activities and charitable initiatives carried out by the District, as well as on the long-standing historical ties between English Freemasonry in Argentina and the local British community.

To mark the occasion, the District presented the Ambassador with a commemorative gift, reaffirming that its doors remain open to support and host future diplomatic and community initiatives.
