This past Saturday evening we had our BAIN Member's Wine & Tapas event at Ugo's home. Members bring a tapas and wine/champagne to share. Ugo surprised us with entertainment with a pianist and soprano that were incredible to say the least. As one member said "It was EPIC!"

WHAT IS BAIN?

There are currently two branches of BAIN. One is DOWNTOWN, and one is in the NORTHERN SUBURBS. The purpose of both organizations is to welcome new arrivals to the city, whether only here part time or full time, provide basic assistance and orientation, and promote friendship and fun among members. English is our shared language. Please also know, our current members come from all over this world so many different languages are spoken. So, it's a melting pot of cultures and languages, and everyone's welcome to join in on the fun!
BAIN DOWNTOWN hosts three main monthly activities, a “Wine and Tapas Event” in a member’s home for BAIN members only, and “BAIN Strictly Social Event”, our monthly Happy Hour at a selected venue for both BAIN members and guests. Both activities are normally well attended and much enjoyed by the membership and occasional guests.
“Book Club” meets every month, either virtually and/or in person, for discussion and social time covering a wonderful variety of literature. We aim for a lively discussion to create a rewarding, enlightening and most importantly fun experience for all. We schedule books in advance and members can suggest a book, we’d be glad to consider it. We read books published in English (translation okay, of course) normally shorter than 400 pages. If interested in joining the next discussion contact Toni at [email protected].

We also have other events throughout the year like our “Annual Holiday Party”, a BAIN member’s only party, which is an event not to miss! Plus, a picnic or semiannual party, you never know what the BAIN Board may come up with, so you need to watch and read your emails.
We also send out notices of events sponsored by members and non-members which we think will be of interest. Plus, if a member has a question or is in need of help, we sometimes send out an email to membership as a way to help. If you have something or a question for our membership, please send email with details to [email protected].
