AICP ADDRESSES PROTOCOL IN FORMAL AND FAMILY CONTEXTS
The initiative “Academic Windows – The Academy Open to the World”, promoted by the International Academy of Ceremonial and Protocol (AICP), took place on April 25, 2026, featuring a session dedicated to the theme “Protocol on the battlefield: spaces, greeting lines, and family photos.”
The meeting featured presentations by academics Javier Carnicer and José Luis Angoy, recognized experts in the field of protocol and institutional communication. The session also included comments from academics Manuel Innocencio de Lacerda Santos and Jorge Román Morey, who contributed to deepening the reflection on the topic.
The event was chaired by Eliane Ubillús, President of AICP, who led the proceedings and emphasized the importance of the initiative in fostering knowledge sharing and promoting best practices in protocol.
The event recorded signif**ant participation from academics and professionals from various countries, with particular emphasis on the presence of Angolan participants, members of the Association of Ceremonial and Protocol Professionals of Angola (APCPA). According to the President of APCPA, Hildeth Coimbra, this fact highlights Angola’s growing involvement in international dynamics related to the study and practice of protocol.
The session was broadcast live via YouTube LIVE, on the aicpoficial channel, allowing participation from a broad international audience.
As part of the “Academic Windows” series, the initiative aims to promote knowledge exchange and the discussion of relevant topics in the academic and professional fields, reinforcing the role of the academy as a space open to the world.
