Call for Participants!
Shared Frames – Workshop on Arthouse Film Distribution in Armenia & Georgia
We are inviting emerging film professionals from Armenia and Georgia to apply for an intensive, practice-oriented workshop focused on the distribution of European arthouse and independent films.
This program is designed for individuals working in, or aspiring to work in, film distribution, exhibition, and related fields who are eager to deepen their understanding of international arthouse cinema and develop practical distribution skills within their local markets.
About the Workshop
The workshop brings together selected participants and experienced European mentors—established professionals in film distribution, sales, and marketing. Taking place from July 17–19, 2026, the program offers an intensive three-day learning experience focused on the practical realities of arthouse film distribution.
Throughout the program, participants will gain practical insights into the full lifecycle of film distribution, including:
Film selection and acquisition strategies
Positioning and audience development for arthouse films
Marketing, PR, and outreach campaigns
Release planning and cinema coordination
Collaboration with exhibitors and industry partners
A key component of the workshop is its strong practical focus.
Participants will work directly on the release campaigns of three European films that will be distributed in cinemas across Armenia and Georgia during the program. This hands-on approach will allow them to apply their knowledge in real time and gain first-hand experience in bringing films to local audiences.
