🏢🌍 Habitat for Humanity Armenia, 🤝in cooperation with the ՀՀ տարածքային կառավարման և ենթակառուցվածքների նախարարություն / Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia and with the financial support of the project “De-risking and Scaling-up Investment in Energy Efficient Building Retrofits, has successfully conducted capacity-building trainings aimed at improving the management of multi-apartment buildings (MABs) across all regions of Armenia.

🎯 The main objective of the trainings was to strengthen the theoretical and practical skills of those responsible for MAB management, maintenance, and energy efficiency, enabling more effective and sustainable building governance practices.

In total, more than 👥200 representatives of homeowner associations and local self-government bodies participated in the 11 trainings held nationwide. The final session of this joint initiative between and Habitat for Humanity Armenia took place on 27 November 2025 in Yerevan.

This training series holds particular importance for enhancing the capacities of regional administrations, municipalities, and HOAs, as it covered the following key areas:

• The legal and regulatory framework governing MAB management, as well as the main challenges related to the implementation of relevant legislation
• Energy-efficient solutions that reduce building-related expenses and improve living conditions
• Methodological guidelines for calculating and planning building maintenance and management costs

📚These methodological guidelines were developed by Habitat for Humanity Armenia, in collaboration with the .

It should be noted that local self-government bodies played a crucial role in the effective organization and implementation of the trainings.

🌍 This time, the training series reached Ararat!

This time, the nationwide capacity-building series implemented by Habitat for Humanity Armenia in cooperation with was held in , bringing together 17 participants․

The session was highly interactive, with participants actively engaging in discussions.
Participants also worked with methodological guidlines developed by Habitat for Humanity Armenia together with the , which provide step-by-step models for long-term cost planning and effective building management.

With support and co-financing from UNDP Armenia and the , the programme continues to strengthen the capacity of Armenia’s communities to build safer, more sustainable, and more energy-efficient homes.

🌍 Այս անգամ դասընթացը տեղի ունեցավ Արարատի մարզում

Այս անգամ համապետական կարողությունների զարգացման դասընթացը, որը իրականացվում է Հաբիթաթ ֆոր Հյումենիթի Արմենիայի և ՄԱԿ-ի Զարգացման ծրագրի համագործակցությամբ, անցկացվեց Արարատի մարզում, որին մասնակցեցին 17 մասնակից։

Դասընթացըի ընթացքում մասնակիցները մասնակցեցին թեմատիկ քննարկումներին, ինչպես նաև ծանոթացան մեթոդական ուղեցույցներին, որոնք մշակվել են «Հաբիթաթ ֆոր Հյումենիթի Արմենիայի» և ՀՀ Քաղաքաշինության կոմիտեի կողմից և ներկայացնում են երկարաժամկետ ծախսերի պլանավորման և շենքերի արդյունավետ կառավարման փուլային մոդելներ:

🌍✨ This time, the training series reached Armavir and Aragatsotn!

📍 This time, the nationwide capacity-building initiative led by Habitat for Humanity Armenia in cooperation with UNDP in Armenia was held for participants from Armavir and Aragatsotn regions.

👥 A total of 11 community representatives took part in the session.

Throughout the training, participants were introduced to:
🔹 ⚖️ The legal and regulatory environment of multi-apartment building management
🔹 💰 Practical tools for calculating and planning maintenance costs
🔹 🌱 Key technical aspects of improving energy efficiency in residential buildings

📚 The group also worked with methodological materials developed by Habitat for Humanity Armenia together with the RA Urban Development Committee, which present step-by-step models for assessing and planning building management expenses.

🤝 With the support and co-financing of UNDP Armenia and the Green Climate Fund, the program continues to strengthen local capacities and promote safer, greener, and more energy-efficient housing practices across Armenia. 🌿🏘️

🌍 Communities of Vayots Dzor Advancing Energy-Efficient Housing Management!

The next training in the nationwide series was in Vayots Dzor, bringing together 10 participants — representatives of local authorities, homeowner associations, and building managers.
The training was organized in cooperation with UNDP in Armenia.

Participants discussed key aspects of:

💰 Cost calculation and budgeting
🌱 Energy efficiency solutions

📚 The training introduced methodological guidelines developed by Habitat for Humanity Armenia in partnership with the , focusing on maintenance and management cost calculation models for residential buildings.

Համապետական դասընթացների շարքի հերթական կանգառը Վայոց Ձորն էր, որտեղ 10 մասնակից՝ համայնքապետարանների, համատիրությունների և կառավարման ընկերությունների ներկայացուցիչներ, միավորվել էին՝ քննարկելու բազմաբնակարան շենքերի արդյունավետ կառավարման ու էներգաարդյունավետության բարձրացման հարցեր։

Դասընթացի քննարկվեցին ընթացքում անդրադարձ կատարվեց․

🌍 Equipping Communities to Improve Maintenance & Management of Residential Buildings and Lead Energy-Efficient Housing Solutions!

The next stop of the nationwide training series by Habitat for Humanity Armenia, in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme - UNDP Armenia, was Gavar, Gegharkunik region — where 15 representatives of local authorities, homeowner associations, and building managers gathered to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in sustainable housing management.

During the session, participants discussed:
⚖️ Key legal frameworks for multi-apartment building (MAB) management
💰 Methods of cost planning and budgeting
🌱 Technical and economic approaches to energy efficiency

Բազմաբնակարան շենքերի պահպանման, կառավարման էներգաարդյունավետության բարելավման դասընթացները շարունակվում են

Հաբիթաթ ֆոր Հյումենիթի Արմենիայի և ՄԱԿ-ի Զարգացման ծրագրի կողմից իրականացվող դասընթացն այս անգամ անցկացվեց Գավառում՝ Գեղարքունիքի մարզում։ Դասընթացին ներկա էին 15 մասնակ, որնք համայնքապետարանների, համատիրությունների և կառավարման ընկերությունների ներկայացուցիչներ էին և միավորվել էին խորացնելու իրենց գիտելիքներն ու հմտությունները բազմաբնակարան շենքերի արդյունավետ կառավարման ոլորտում։

The series of trainings across Armenia 🌍 is well underway!

This time, we were in Ijevan and Vanadzor, where Habitat for Humanity Armenia, in cooperation with 🤝, continued capacity-building sessions for local authorities, homeowner associations, and building managers.

The program is aimed at empowering these community leaders to improve the management and maintenance of multi-apartment buildings, while introducing approaches to cost planning, legal compliance, and energy efficiency.

🌿 Implemented under the ** – Building Energy Efficiency Project, this initiative supports Armenia’s transition toward healthier, more sustainable, and energy-efficient homes 🏡.

🌍Դասընթացների մեկնարկ բազմաբնակարան շենքերի պահպանման, կառավարման էներգաարդյունավետության բարելավման համար

📚 Դասընթացի ուսումնական նյութը ներառում էր մեթոդական ցուցումներ՝ բազմաբնակարան շենքերի պահպանման և կառավարման ծախսերի հաշվարկի ու պլանավորման մոդելների վերաբերյալ, որոնք մշակվել են Հաբիթաթ ֆոր Հյումենիթի Արմենիայի կողմից` ՀՀ քաղաքաշինության կոմիտեի հետ համագործակցությամբ։
