After months of uncertainty, persistence, and tireless fundraising, we are deeply grateful to share that the Ararat Health Program has officially begun.
On December 11, we held our first full check-up day at the Azatavan village ambulatory.
The 22 men who came for care were predominantly displaced from Artsakh (75%), many living for years without access to routine healthcare. What we saw was heartbreakingโand at the same time, a powerful reminder of why this work matters.
๐ต Severe diabetes requiring urgent medical attention
๐ซฃ No prior cancer screenings
๐ Chronic conditions long ignored out of necessity, not choice
๐ค One man arrived with serious neurological symptoms. Because lying down triggered unbearable headaches (caused by the trauma he suffered after witnessing the Stepanakert fuel depot explosion) our doctor performed his ultrasound while he was seated, adapting care to dignity and safety.
๐ซฐAnother beneficiary quietly began calculating how much these examinations and lab tests would cost his family if paid out of pocket. He looked up and said simply how grateful he wasโnot only for himself, but for other Artsakh families and vulnerable neighbors who will now have access to care.

๐ Our next visit will be on December 16th in Sayat-Nova villageโs medical ambulatory, focusing on women from Artsakh and highly vulnerable locals.

๐ช We now continue fundraising to ensure that every diagnosis is followed by:

โข essential medications for chronic patients,
โข and gynecological care for women who have gone too long without help.
