In 2004 with support of ENOTHE and through active collaboration with Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) after Kh. Ghukasyan and the Dean of the faculty of Pre-school, Elementary and Special education S.Palikyan and ArBeS Day Care Center on behalf of executive director M.Eritsyan initiated an educational process in Ergo Therapy – “Introduction of Ergo Therapy in Armenia” with a group of 1
3 Armenian students. In 2005 first department of Ergo Therapy was opened in the faculty of Pre-school, Elementary and Special education in ASPU and started the educational process with 12 students, who will study in the University for 4 years and get Bachelor Degree. Ergo Therapy profession Ergo Therapy is a way of treating people with certain mental and physical disabilities by giving them productive and meaningful work to do. As a result of analyzing each particular need and demand, for promoting development, use and practice of Ergo Therapy in Armenia in 2007 Armenian Ergo Therapists’ Association – ARM-ETA was founded. The first 8 Ergo Therapy students are founders of the Association.

2004 թվականին ENOTHE-ի և Խ.Աբովյանի անվան Հայկական Պետական Մանկավարժական Համլսարանի ռեկտոր` Ա.Ղուկասյանի աջակցությամբ , Նախադպրոցական, տարրական և հատուկ կևթության ֆակուլտետի դեկան` Ս. Փալիկյանի, ինչպես նաև ԱրԲեՍ Ցերեկային կենտրոնի գործադիր տնօրեն Մ.Երիցյանի հետ ակտիվ համագործակցություն հաստատելու միջոցով նախաձեռնվեց կրթական գործընթաց - 13 հայ ուսանողների ներառմամբ:
2005 թվականին ՀՊՄՀ-ի Նախադպրոցական, սկբնական և հատուկ կրթության ֆակուլտետում բացվեց էրգոթերապիայի առաջին բաժինը, ուր ընդգրկվեցին 12 ուսանողներ, ովքեր 4-ամյա կրթությունից հետո ստացան բակալավրի կոչում: Էրգոթերապիան միջամտության ուղի է , որի միջոցով վերականգնվում է ֆիզիկական և մտավոր անկարողություններով անձանց նպատակային գործունեությունը և աշխատանքային կարողությունը:
Հայաստանում Էրգոթերապիայի զարգացումը խթանելու նպատակով ` առաջին 8 էրգոթերապիստ ուսանողների նախաձեռնությամբ 2007 թ-ին հիմնադրվեց էրգոթերապիստների 1-ին հայկական ասոցիացիան` ԱՐՄ-ԷԹԱ:
