We are proud to share that Armenian designer Diana Avetisian featured at the Polimoda Polimoda Graduate Show 2026 in Florence. Seeing two Armenian designers represented among the 20 best graduating designers of Polimoda 2026 is a significant achievement for Armenia’s fashion industry. It demonstrates that Armenian creativity, cultural perspective, and design excellence are increasingly finding their place within the global fashion conversation. Moments like these strengthen our belief in the future of Armenian fashion and encourage us to continue investing in, supporting, and promoting the next generation of talented designers.
The show brought together emerging talents from 15 nationalities and over 100 looks, highlighting a new generation of designers using fashion as a powerful tool for storytelling, identity, and cultural expression.
Diana presented her collection, Another Role - an exploration of femininity as something constructed, performed, and constantly evolving. Inspired by David Lynch’s Lost Highway, vintage automobiles, and mechanic uniforms, the collection follows the story of a woman navigating the space between performance and reality. Structured silhouettes reference the forms of classic cars, while waxed fabrics, patent leather, and coated finishes evoke metal, oil, and polished automotive surfaces. Through the contrast of utilitarian workwear and refined tailoring, Diana examines identity, transformation, and the freedom found in refusing to fit into predefined roles.
