How amusing it is when you find yourself that several days managed
to turn into a small chapter of your life!
“Kaleidoscope” was the name of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange which
took place in Wünsdorf, Germany. It aimed at exploring the relation
between media, nature, creativity and perception of oneself and the
world through the interaction of young people. Using the elements
such as photography, film-making, arts and crafts, workshops and
simply cohabitation we managed to create something, sometimes
consciously, sometimes unconsciously.
At first, we were simply people from various countries. Then we
found out about short movies, spontaneous videos, art expositions,
unlimited dancing, music, discussions and cooking khorovats with
Georgians. We became really close with the people from Georgia,
discovered how similar mentality can be with Moroccans and fell
deeply in love with Portuguese people. With each and every group we
managed to find something in common.
It is one of those evenings that will forever be etched into my mind as
something very special. Each nation offered their own touch of home
with their cuisine, music, tradition and dance and there was a moment
when it felt as if we all met in the same room to bring the whole world
closer.
Even the usual meals turned into something memorable as each group
cooked up dishes that we have never thought about combining before,
including macarons and strawberries.
And somewhere among cameras, forests, music, cuisine and laughter,
I understood that Kaleidoscope was not a location but the people.
