Established in 2012, IWAY, The International Women’s Association of Yerevan, is a non-profit, non-religious, and non-political association.

The International Women’s Association of Yerevan (IWAY) is a non-religious, non-political charity NGO of women of all nationalities living in Armenia 🇦🇲

IG: IWAY members are 100 % volunteering women of all ages and nationalities who reside in the Republic of Armenia. The mission of IWAY is to make a positive impact on Armenia through developmental projects. The projects mainly target

women and children in remote and border villages. The IWAY biggest fundraising event is the annual Christmas Charity Bazaar. Funds raised at this event will exclusively be used to fund IWAY approved philanthropic projects. IWAY members meet twice a month (except in January and August) to have general meetings (coffee mornings). During these sessions, members debate fun and instructive topics as well as philanthropic endeavors. IWAY organizes the annual Christmas Charity Bazaar. In addition, from the beginning of 2021, IWAY initiated online charity sales. All the generated income is put towards a worthwhile charitable project(s). IWAY is not only a charitable organization. It has many returns to its own community.
● As each woman participates in the year-long activities, she works to strengthen herself and achieve her full potential.
● IWAY fosters goodwill and friendship among its members, regardless of their origin.
● IWAY expands knowledge and understanding of the Armenian people and culture. This makes Armenia a true home for everyone.
● IWAY organizes a wide range of activities for its members and guests. These include, but are not limited to:
⮚ Informative meetings to learn more about Armenia
⮚ Special events to learn about the countries represented by members
⮚ Walking tours, cultural visits, and exchange networking opportunities

Yesterday’s monthly meeting of the International Women’s Association of Yerevan brought together an inspiring community of women for a meaningful dialogue, activity updates, new ideas, and valuable connections. The gathering served as a reminder of the strength of collaboration, solidarity, and women-led initiatives in shaping more inclusive and resilient communities.
A special thank you to Aurora Martin for her thought-provoking and inspiring presentation, “From Academia into Action.” Her insights sparked engaging discussions on the role of women in advancing human security, social awareness, and sustainable change.
We are grateful to all members and guests who contributed to the warm atmosphere and dynamic exchange of ideas. Looking forward to many more impactful conversations and initiatives ahead.🌟💫

The recent gathering of the International Women’s Association of Yerevan was a wonderful opportunity for members to come together, connect, and celebrate the spirit of our community. Congratulations to Liana Minasyan Min-Za on her election as IWAY President for the 2026–2027 term following the April meeting. We look forward to her leadership and dedication in advancing IWAY’s mission.

While the meeting included the formal introduction of the new board, the morning was filled with laughter, conversation, and meaningful moments among members. One of the highlights was a fun interactive activity which created a warm and joyful atmosphere, reminding us how special our community is. It was a beautiful moment of connection, appreciation, and friendship that truly reflects the spirit of IWAY.✨

📖 This month, IWAY members gathered for Annual General Meeting — an important moment in the life of the association that takes place each year. During the meeting, members came together to hear the annual reports of the Board of Directors, reflect on the achievements and milestones of the past year, and recognize the dedication and hard work that made them possible.
🗳️ The AGM also marked the election of a new Board, opening a new chapter of leadership while continuing the same unwavering mission that unites IWAY members year after year — to support women and children in Armenia’s remote and border communities.
🌱 With renewed energy, shared purpose, and deep commitment to making a difference, IWAY moves forward into the coming year — building on its achievements and continuing its work to create meaningful, lasting impact across Armenia.

🎨✨ IWAY ladies were warmly invited by Saghart for a beautiful batik painting experience — a space where creativity flowed freely and each participant could express her individuality through color and design. It was more than art; it was a moment of self-realization, inspiration, and connection. And through experiences like these, creativity transforms into purpose — empowering women while supporting IWAY’s ongoing charitable mission. 💛

🎎 IWAY ladies recently had the pleasure of visiting «Ink and Silk», a captivating exhibition dedicated to Japanese art, accompanied by a traditional Matcha-making ceremony that immersed guests in the grace and philosophy of Japanese culture. The experience was both inspiring and enriching, offering a beautiful opportunity to connect with the elegance, mindfulness, and timeless traditions of Japan.

💻 One of IWAY’s impactful projects of 2025 focused on strengthening education in Armenia’s regions through access to modern tools and opportunity. To make chemistry lessons more visual, engaging, and interactive, IWAY donated a laptop and projector to Vanadzor Secondary School #28 after Vahe Meliksetyan Վանաձորի Վահե Մելիքսեթյանի անվան թիվ 28 հիմնական դպրոց.

🧪 This support transforms everyday classrooms into dynamic learning spaces, enabling teachers to present material with clarity and creativity. As a result, more than 450 students now benefit from an enriched educational environment that sparks curiosity, encourages participation, and deepens understanding.

🌱 At IWAY, every initiative is driven by purpose and care. By investing in education, IWAY empowers young minds, supports regional schools, and helps build a stronger, brighter future for Armenia.
