🌱 Together – A Year of Growth and Impact

From November 2025 to September 2026, the programme implemented by Vardenis YMCA became a journey of education, culture, support and community engagement.
Throughout these months, children and young people had the opportunity to participate in educational and homework support, dance and cultural groups, creative activities and various recreational initiatives. The food support provided to children also helped families reduce part of their everyday financial burden.

Over the course of the programme, our community reach steadily expanded. Participation grew to 65+ children per day and more than 320 participants per week. Children from not only Vardenis but also surrounding villages joined the programme, covering a broad age range from 4 to 16+ years old.
Behind these numbers, however, there is much more than statistics. There are improvements in children’s academic performance, new friendships, first experiences on stage, greater interest in learning, growing self-confidence and the feeling that there is a place in their community where they are welcomed, valued, and supported.
The feedback and trust of parents have also been especially meaningful to us and represent one of the most important measures of the programme’s value.
Vardenis YMCA sincerely thanks the Time of Fast (TOF) Fund of Y’s Men International for its trust and support, which made these opportunities possible for children and young people in our community.
As this phase of the programme comes to an end, the relationships built, the experience gained and the opportunities created for children will remain an important part of our community.
We believe that every opportunity given to a child is an investment in the future of the entire community.

🌞 "Summer at Vardenis YMCA – A Season of Growth, Joy and New Opportunities"

On International Children's Day, the children and young people of Vardenis YMCA enthusiastically participated in community celebrations, bringing creativity, energy and joy to this special occasion. Their active involvement once again highlighted the importance of creating opportunities where every child can learn, grow and thrive.

At the same time our Summer Programme is now well underway, with more than half of its planned activities already successfully implemented. Throughout the summer, children continue to take part in educational, creative, cultural and recreational activities that strengthen their knowledge, life skills, creativity, teamwork and self-confidence in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.

We are especially encouraged by the growing interest in the programme and the increasing number of children joining our Vardenis YMCA family. This is a meaningful reflection of the trust our community places in our work and the positive impact the programme continues to make.

We sincerely thank the Time of Fast (TOF) Fund of Y's Men International and all our partners for their trust, continued support and commitment to creating brighter opportunities for children and young people in our community.

"Together We Create Opportunities for Children's Growth and Success"

In November 2025, Vardenis YMCA launched its Educational and Cultural Program, which will continue through September 2026.

Through this program, children and young people participate in a wide range of educational, cultural, dance and social development activities. The program supports their academic progress, helps them develop creative abilities, gain new skills and become more actively engaged in community life.

We are especially proud that the program’s dance groups actively participate in cultural festivals and competitions across the Republic of Armenia, achieving 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in various age groups and dance categories.

This program is made possible through the support of the Time of Fast (TOF) Fund of Y’s Men International.

It is worth noting that the partnership between Vardenis YMCA and Danish Y’s Men International dates back to 2000 and continues to this day. Over the years, this cooperation has played an important role in community development, creating opportunities for children and young people and helping address various challenges faced by the community.

We sincerely thank our partners for their long-standing trust, continued support, and commitment to the future of children and youth.
