🐔🤝 A Mentorship Field Visit
Mentorship is one of the most powerful tools in sustainable development.
Today, July 24th 2026, the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development, together with Arev Society, organized a field visit in the Tavush region to meet Liana, a former 2025 beneficiary whose chicken breeding business was launched through our income-generating activities program.
The goal was simple but impactful: connect current and former beneficiaries from the same region so they can share experience, learn from one another, and build a lasting local network.

Starting a business is as much about mindset as resources; persistence through early setbacks makes the difference.
In poultry farming, success depends on the fundamentals: animal health and hygiene, careful feed management, cost planning, and understanding your local market.
Peer-to-peer mentorship builds confidence in a way no training manual can.
What stood out most was the human dimension. Beneficiaries who started this journey uncertain now speak with confidence and pride, and the bonds formed between them and our project staff are what make this work truly sustainable. Everyone came home inspired and happy! 😊
