Looking back at one of the final moments we shared with the Class of 2026. A song that brought everyone together before they moved on to their next adventures.

The celebration may be over, but the memories remain. Congratulations, Class of 2026.❤️

On 23 May, the UWC Dilijan community came together to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2026. Centered around the theme “Global Minds, Open Hearts,” the ceremony reflected the values that have defined this remarkable cohort throughout their two years in Armenia.

The ceremony was not only a celebration of academic achievement and university destinations, but also of the collective impact that can be created when global-minded young people lead with open hearts. As the Class of 2026 embarks on the next chapter of their journeys, they leave UWC Dilijan carrying with them a shared commitment to building a more peaceful, compassionate, and connected world.

It has become a tradition for students, staff and parents to gather for a Community Day just before graduation interacting in a more informal atmosphere.
May 22 began with the annual “Prayer for Peace”, organised by Dan Silfwerin, our Philosophy teacher and Toon Parent, featuring more than 15 prayers - students, staff and parents - representing different religions.

It was followed by a traditional tree planting ceremony - Jeffrey Morales Lopez, our first student from Guatemala, planted a tree in our Alumni Garden.

The Community Forum under the theme “Stories of Change”, moderated by Rene Sandoval, our Wellbeing Counsellor, provided a platform for exchanging stories of change as a result of being part of UWCD. For someone it was becoming more outgoing and fun, for someone it was learning to love and care, and for someone it was to understand their personal values.

The day concluded with the DiliWorld - a favourite celebration of international cultures through music, dance and performances.

And of course there was a special cake from Art Lunch!

“Nostalgia Already” is a photography exhibition by UWCD student Letian Wang (China, UWCD’26), capturing his emotional connection to Armenia, Dilijan, Yerevan, and the UWCD experience through 43 photographs taken over the past two years.

Letian shares: “Although I am still in Armenia and still at UWCD, I already find myself feeling nostalgic. Through these photographs, I aim to present the Armenia that exists in my mind and emotions. In a way, this exhibition is both a farewell to Armenia and UWCD, and a return to my original motivation for photography.”

We warmly invite you to visit “Nostalgia Already” and discover the stories, emotions, and reflections behind each photograph.
📍 Location: First floor of AB (between the Green and Purple Atriums)

“This Wednesday, it was time for a friendly match. As always, the team featured a great mix of staff members, DP1 and DP2 students some of whom were making their debut. Our opponents were a recently assembled team with its core made up of former Impulse players. The final score was 7-0 in our favour. We would like to thank our opponents and the referee for a rewarding and enjoyable match, and we look forward to continued collaboration in the future!” - Erik Cunelius, sports and PE instructor
