Islamic Relief started its operations in Albania as an international NGO in December 1991. Islamic Relief registered in Albania as branch organization of Islamic Relief Worldwide with the Decision of Court No.44, date 14th July 1994. In 04 July 2004, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs recognizes IR’s activity in country. Since then IR spread its a

ctivities in different cities of Albania, from South to North aiming to interfere where the need is present and evident. Islamic Relief Worldwide
Islamic Relief (IR) is an international relief and development charity Organization which envisages a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others, empowering them to fulfill their potential. It has a consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council and is a member of the International Islamic Council for Relief. Islamic Relief works on helping and empowering the poor regardless of religion, ethnicity or gender. IR promotes sustainable economic and social development and invests in child welfare by working with local communities to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and disease.
