Valona vista dall’alto. ❤️
La Laguna di Narta, le saline, l’isola di Zvërnec con il suo antico Monastero di Santa Maria e, sullo sfondo, l’isola di Saseno.
Il monastero, costruito tra il XIII e il XIV secolo, sorge su una piccola isola ricoperta da cipressi secolari e collegata alla terraferma da un suggestivo ponte di legno. Da secoli è uno dei simboli più affascinanti della costa di Valona.
Intorno, la laguna ospita fenicotteri, uccelli migratori e uno degli ecosistemi più preziosi dell’Adriatico.
Un luogo dove natura, storia e tradizioni si incontrano. Un paesaggio che racconta l’anima più autentica di questa terra. 🍀

The Narta Lagoon, the salt pans, Zvërnec Island with its ancient Monastery of Saint Mary, and, in the background, Sazan Island.
Built between the 13th and 14th centuries, the monastery stands on a small island covered with cypress and pine trees, connected to the mainland by a charming wooden bridge. For centuries, it has been one of the symbols of the Vlora coast, where nature, spirituality and history come together.
The lagoon surrounding it is home to flamingos, migratory birds and one of the most valuable ecosystems of the Adriatic Sea.
A unique landscape where sea, salt, wind and land tell the story of this remarkable corner of Albania. 🍀
