A weekend to reconnect with yourself, with others, and with what truly matters.
Join us on Dajti Mountain for a special retreat exploring the Brahma Viharas — four qualities of the heart that help us live with greater kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity.
We’re delighted to welcome two experienced Buddhist practitioners who bring different life experiences and a shared commitment to putting Buddhist practice into everyday life.
💚 Together, we’ll explore four qualities of the heart:
❤️ Loving-kindness — wishing happiness for ourselves and others.
💙 Compassion — responding to suffering with care.
💛 Sympathetic joy — learning to rejoice in the happiness of others.
💚 Equanimity — meeting life’s changing circumstances with balance and openness.
Nityabandhu — whose Buddhist name means “eternal friend” — was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2004 by Sangharaksh*ta. Originally from Poland, he has spent half his life practising Buddhism and meditation. For him, practice is about living a life he can look back on without regret, while building meaningful connections with others. Having travelled and lived in several countries, he is now learning Albanian and looking forward to his 5th visit to Albania.
**Sanghajit** was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2016 and has close ties to Padmaloka Retreat Centre and the London Buddhist Centre. Originally from Australia, he now lives in England, where he has spent 25 years in nursing and works as a specialist palliative care nurse, supporting people and their families at the end of life. That work has made the Brahma Viharas a daily, practical concern for him: how to meet suffering with kindness, compassion and a steady heart. A father of three and a keen cricket coach, he brings warmth and a down-to-earth approach to practice.
The retreat will include guided meditation, Chi Kung, mantra, discussion, periods of silence and time to connect with others in the peaceful surroundings of Dajti Mountain.
✨ You don’t need to be an experienced meditator or a Buddhist to join us. Come as you are, with curiosity and a willingness to explore.
