Two incredible days of inspiration, dialogue, and youth action! 🌍✨

Peace Volunteering Network was pleased to be part of the organizing team for the UN Youth Assembly in Kosovo 2026. Thank you UNMIK and United Youth Task Force Kosovo

This year’s edition, Youth in the Field, brought together young people from Kosovo and the Western Balkans to learn, connect, exchange ideas, and create solutions for stronger youth participation in society.

Seeing young leaders engage, collaborate, and raise their voices for change reminds us why youth spaces matter.

The future is brighter when young people are empowered to lead. 💙

Pas çdo ndryshimi pozitiv qëndrojnë njerëz që besojnë te fuqia e komunitetit dhe te potenciali i të rinjve. Sot, jemi të lumtur të ndajmë faktin se Oltiana Rama, Drejtoreshë Ekzekutive e Peace Volunteering Network është përfshirë në rubrikën “Gratë që Frymëzojnë” të Albania Express News, si një vlerësim për rrugëtimin dhe ndikimin e saj në shoqërinë civile.

Kjo intervistë vjen si një njohje e kontributit të saj shumëvjeçar në fushën e demokracisë, të drejtave të njeriut, qeverisjes vendore, edukimit joformal, vullnetarizmit dhe fuqizimit të të rinjve. Përmes rolit të saj si drejtuese, trajnuese, kërkuese dhe eksperte në projekte kombëtare e ndërkombëtare, ajo ka punuar vazhdimisht për të promovuar pjesëmarrjen qytetare, përfshirjen sociale dhe ndërtimin e komuniteteve më të forta dhe më gjithëpërfshirëse.

Në intervistën e saj, Oltiana thekson rëndësinë e krijimit të hapësirave reale për pjesëmarrje, duke besuar se ndryshimi i qëndrueshëm ndërtohet përmes bashkëpunimit, besimit dhe angazhimit aktiv të qytetarëve. Një mesazh që spikat veçanërisht është se ndryshime ndërtohet edhe nga mënyra si ne zgjedhim të mendojmë, të bashkëpunojmë dhe të kujdesemi për njëri-tjetrin.

Ky vlerësim është një motivim për të vazhduar përpjekjet në ndërtimin e një shoqërie më gjithëpërfshirëse, më demokratike dhe me më shumë mundësi për të rinjtë.

🌲 Digital Detox in the Forest 🌲

A Volunteering Camp from SCI Germany

At Friedmunt’s Farm, you’ll immerse yourself in a forest lifestyle far removed from everyday life. You’ll learn from an experienced botanist who has been working with seeds, plant diversity and organic farming for over 30 years. It’s not just about knowledge here, but above all about trying things out and getting involved.

Look after plants in the garden and in the fields and help with seed preservation. Here you’ll live self-sufficiently: fetching water from the spring, preparing firewood and cooking together on the wood-burning stove. Working with fire also becomes an important experience: a special part of the camp are the daily Agni Hotra rituals at sunrise and sunset.

Experience moments of peace and reflection and discover a whole new connection with nature.
The camp is deliberately designed as a non-digital experience, where mobile phones are left behind.

We are happy to announce the successful completion of our European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering project, carried out in collaboration between Lille Avenirs (France) and PVN Albania.

This enriching experience brought together 6 young volunteers from France Enzo, Helen, Chakib, Maxim, Sam and Yann,who spent their time in Albania contributing to local activities, sharing ideas, and engaging closely with the community.

Throughout the project, volunteers showed great motivation, openness, and teamwork while taking part in meaningful activities that promoted solidarity, inclusion, and intercultural understanding.

💡 During their stay, they:
• Supported community-based initiatives
• Engaged with young people and local groups
• Promoted cultural exchange and dialogue
• Developed personal, social, and professional skills
• Contributed to strengthening European values in practice

We would like to sincerely thank all the volunteers for their energy and commitment, as well as Lille Avenirs for their cooperation and trust, and all local partners and community members who made this experience so valuable and impactful.

Together, we continue building bridges between cultures and empowering young people through volunteering and solidarity.

From 28–30 October 2026, Elbasan will transform into a living platform of dialogue, ideas, and collaboration for Democracy and Peace.

Something special is happening right now in Durrës 🌊, the Youth Exchange: Next Step Skills 🌍

Young people from 5 different countries, Albania, Georgia, N. Macedonia, Rumania and Serbia have come together for Next Step Skills, a youth exchange where learning goes beyond theory and becomes a real experience. Through games, role-plays, teamwork challenges, and shared moments, participants are exploring communication, leadership, and creative ways to solve problems together.

Every day brings new energy, new ideas, and new connections. What makes this experience even more meaningful is the inclusive space we are creating where young people with and without sensory impairments learn side by side, support each other, and grow together.

There is something powerful about seeing confidence build, voices being heard, and teamwork turning into real friendships.

This journey is being hosted in Durrës, Albania by Peace Volunteering Network, in collaboration with Babilon Travel NGO from Romania as a leading and coordinating organisation.

This project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme.

SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN

Sometimes the most important stories are not hidden; they simply lie beyond the frames through which we have learned to look. We urge audiences to look at sides that often go unnoticed remaining outside the frame.

This year we invite filmmakers to get inspired by the theme:
👁️Shift your gaze to the unseen👁️
and question the limits of visibility challenging the dominant ways of seeing while revealing what has been ignored, silenced, or forgotten.

Eligibility criteria at a glance:
👍Filmmakers originating from the Balkans, and/or films produced from the Balkan region.
👍Duration up to 30 minutes,
👍Production after 2024.
👍The festival accepts fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental films that creatively engage with the theme.
👍Filmmakers must be up to 35 years old, or older than 35 under the condition that their submitted film is their debut.

By submitting your film to the 17th BBB SFF, you get the opportunity to be awarded for the:

PVN and Impakt are pleased to join the launch of the SEED Project (Supporting European youth Engagment against Disinformation), part of the CERV – Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values call, at Monash University in Prato, Italy!

Over the two-day meeting, partners shared the challenges they face and the best practices they use in engaging youth and communities. A standout moment was the panel discussion on youth participation and disinformation, where insights were exchanged with partners from Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands on how to tackle misinformation and empower young voices.

Looking forward to the journey ahead and the impact this collaboration will create!

Last night we took a little trip to France — without leaving the room 🥖🧀🍷

Thanks to our amazing volunteer Maxim from France, we explored the beauty of French culture through fun quizzes, delicious French snacks, and lots of laughter. From testing our knowledge about France to sharing treats that started with the first letter of our names (yes, the creativity was real 👏), the night was all about connection.

More than just learning about France, this evening was about building community, sharing stories, and bringing pieces of our cultures to the table. 💛

Merci, Maxim, for helping us discover a little bit of France and for reminding us that culture connects us all. 🌍✨
