Our journey as participants in the youth exchange “Next Step Skills” in Durrës, Albania has come to an end, but the experience will definitely stay with us much longer.
From April 16–22, we joined young people from Romania, Albania, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Georgia for a week full of learning, collaboration, and growth. What began as unfamiliar faces quickly turned into a strong and supportive group, where ideas were exchanged freely, perspectives were challenged, and new skills were built together.
Through interactive workshops, simulations, and everyday informal moments, we worked on communication, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making in a very hands-on and engaging way. It wasn’t just about theory, but about experiencing, reflecting, and improving together.
And while the sessions were valuable, what truly stands out are the connections we made, the shared laughter, the conversations in between activities, and the sense of community that formed so naturally.
We leave with new skills, but even more importantly, with memories and people we will not forget.
