Spark Ministries (Shkendije)

Spark Ministries (Shkendije) 'Shkendije' is a registered Albanian Charity as of 2010 which started its mission in October 2000.

Our main mission is to proclaim Jesus and His morals relevantly to Albanian children, seeing them come to know & grow in God and help others to do the same. Spark Ministries, a Christian charity in Albania, was founded by Rachel Wilson with the goal to reach out to Albanian children. Spark Ministries (Shkendije) seeks to capture the imagination, hearts and minds of the Albanian children and ignite

the fire within their souls to the Kingdom of God. We believe very much in becoming a positive part of the communities we are reaching and that Spiritual and Practical work should not separated as one is a natural expression of the other. Hence in out working the vision we seek to fulfil real needs in the community; whether practical, educational or physical.

Celebratory cake as Spark Ministries enters a new phase thanks to LightForce International and free use of their camp/conference centre until it can be donated to us. We give thanks and ask for your prayers as we enter this new chapter. Now it’s all systems go go go to be ready for summer camps.

Just last weekend it was our fall fundraiser with the Tirana Marathon. Four runners signed up this year, but unfortunately two had to drop out due to medical reasons, which left Marko (half marathon) and David (10K). It was a great experience for both of them with a wonderful atmosphere in the center, and some needed funds were raised. Giving closes at the end of the month, so there is still time if you want to give to this cause (see comments). We are excited that there are already people interested in signing up for the 10th Tirane Marathon 2026.
