What if we were no longer needed? 🌱

That is exactly the point.

With The Kuçedra of Ishëm, we are not only working with children. We are sharing the approach with teachers, so environmental education can continue beyond our own sessions in more classrooms, with more children.

Because real impact is not being everywhere.
It is creating something that can continue without you.

Another classroom, another step forward. 🌱

With The Kuçedra of Ishëm, we are exploring a different way of helping children understand rivers, pollution, and our relationship with nature.

And while they learn, we measure, learn, and improve the way we educate. 🌊

🌱 Thank you, Christine!

During May and June, Christine joined RESU for her internship - bringing curiosity, commitment and a willingness to learn and contribute.

From exploring social business and market ideas to understanding how an environmental NGO works in practice, Christine became part of our everyday work, discussions and projects.

Thank you, Christine, for your contribution and for sharing this experience with us. We hope you leave RESU with new knowledge, good memories and even more curiosity for what comes next. 💚

And once again, a big thank you to Albanian Skills for the trust and collaboration, and for bringing young people and organizations together through experiences like this.

Dje, në protestë, erdhi edhe Simoni nga Kelmendi.

Një bari.

Një nga njerëzit që ende mban gjallë Transhumancën.

Jo në dokumente.
Jo në konferenca.
Jo në strategji.

Në jetën e përditshme.

Ai na tregoi se për t'u çuar ujë bagëtive i duhet të ecë kilometra të tërë. Se kullotat po bëhen gjithnjë e më të vështira për t'u përdorur. Dhe se nuk e di nëse do të ketë dikush që ta vazhdojë këtë traditë pas tij.

Ndërsa sot, Shqipëria u zgjodh anëtare e Komitetit Ndërqeveritar të UNESCO-s për Trashëgiminë Kulturore Jomateriale.

Historia e Simonit na kujton diçka të rëndësishme:

Trashëgimia nuk jeton në institucione.

Jeton te njerëzit.

Dhe pyetja që duhet t'i bëjmë vetes është e thjeshtë:

A po mbrojmë vetëm statusin e trashëgimisë?

Vjosa-Narta është një nga zonat më të rëndësishme bregdetare në Adriatik - lagunë e kualifikuar për Ramsar, zonë IBA, kandidate Emerald, shtëpi e mbi 200 specieve të zogjve.
Raporti i Progresit të BE-së 2025 dokumenton se ndryshimet e Ligjit mbi Zonat e Mbrojtura janë të papajtueshme me acquis europian. Dy nga nëntë kushtet e mbylljes së Kapitullit 27 kërkojnë riparimin e kësaj situate.
Për krahasim: Sečovlje në Slloveni - zonë Ramsar me të njëjtën tipologji ekologjike - ka ligj të qartë që lejon vetëm aktivitete të pajtueshme me natyrën. Ai ligj zbatohet.
BE-ja ka një standard për zonat e mbrojtura. Shqipëria e meriton të njëjtin.

Vjosa-Narta is one of the most ecologically significant coastal areas in the Adriatic - a Ramsar-eligible lagoon, IBA site, Emerald candidate, and habitat for over 200 bird species.
The EU's 2025 Progress Report documents that Albania's 2024 amendments to the Law on Protected Areas are incompatible with the EU acquis. Two of the nine Chapter 27 closing benchmarks require addressing this directly.
For comparison: Sečovlje in Slovenia - a Ramsar wetland of identical ecological typology - operates under clear legislation permitting only activities compatible with nature conservation. That legislation is enforced.
The EU has one standard for protected areas. Albania deserves the same.
