Sot, në Ditën Botërore të Mjedisit, H2H Foundation riafirmon angazhimin për mbrojtjen e natyrës, monitorimin e cilësisë së ujit dhe nxitjen e veprimeve konkrete për një mjedis më të shëndetshëm.

On 29 May, a monitoring activity was carried out at Public Beach in the Administrative Unit of Ishëm within the framework of the project.

📍The selected monitoring site was located along the IshĂ«m coastal area, a site exposed to pressures from human activities and plastic pollution.

During the activity, the presence, types and quantities of litter were observed and monitored according to the standardized beach litter monitoring protocol.

The activity aimed to provide a clearer overview of the pollution situation in the area by identifying the main types of litter, understanding their possible sources, and assessing their impact on the coastal and marine environment. It also served to promote awareness on the importance of reducing plastic waste and protecting natural ecosystems.

🔎 Key findings from the monitoring activity:

⚖ 30.535 kg of waste collected in total
♻ 12.455 kg of plastic items

On 22 May, a monitoring activity was carried out at Lalëz Beach within the framework of the project.

📍The selected monitoring site was located along the LalĂ«z coastline, an area known for its natural and recreational value, but increasingly exposed to pressures from human activities and plastic pollution.

On April 29, 2026, H2H Foundation, in collaboration with ArtKontakt and North Green Association, carried out a monitoring activity within the framework of the “Active Water II” project.

đŸ§Ș The activity focused on on-site monitoring of physico-chemical water parameters, as well as bacteriological analyses, in order to assess water quality and identify environmental challenges in the monitored areas.

📍 Monitoring locations:
‱ Hamallaj pumping station and discharge into the Adriatic Sea – a key point for water outflow, directly impacting the marine ecosystem and coastal water quality.
‱ Rubjeka Reservoir – a water body used by the local community for recreational activities and fish farming, requiring continuous monitoring to ensure water quality.

This activity was carried out under the project “Support to Civil Society Organizations 2024–2027”, funded by the Swedish Government through Sida, and implemented by Co-PLAN Institute for Habitat Development, in cooperation with VIS Albania and COSV.

On April 28, 2026, H2H Foundation, in collaboration with ArtKontakt and North Green Association, carried out a monitoring activity within the framework of the “Active Water II” project.

đŸ§Ș The activity focused on on-site monitoring of physico-chemical water parameters, as well as bacteriological analyses, in order to assess water quality and identify environmental challenges in the monitored areas.

📍 Monitoring locations:
‱ Belsh Lake – one of the most well-known lakes in the area, important for biodiversity and local development, requiring continuous attention to preserve water quality.
‱ Tafane Lake – an aquatic ecosystem valuable to the surrounding community, in need of more careful management to prevent environmental degradation.

This activity was carried out under the project “Support to Civil Society Organizations 2024–2027”, funded by the Swedish Government through Sida, and implemented by Co-PLAN Institute for Habitat Development, in cooperation with VIS Albania and COSV.

On April 27, 2026, H2H Foundation, in collaboration with ArtKontakt and North Green Association, carried out a monitoring activity within the framework of the “Active Water II” project.

đŸ§Ș The activity focused on on-site monitoring of physico-chemical water parameters, as well as bacteriological analyses, in order to assess water quality and identify environmental challenges in the monitored areas.

📍 Monitoring locations:
‱ Funar Lake 2 – an important water resource used for irrigation and recreational activities by the local community.
‱ Tregan Lake – a reservoir important for irrigation, currently facing pollution-related challenges and requiring increased attention for rehabilitation and sustainable management.

🌍 This activity represents an important step toward strengthening cooperation among organizations and research institutions for the protection of the environment and water resources.

🌍 Earth Day 🌿

Within the framework of the “Active Water II” project and Earth Day, H2H Foundation Albania carried out a monitoring activity at Vija e NgjalĂ«s, focusing on assessing the environmental condition and water quality in this ecologically important area.

đŸ§Ș During the activity, on-site measurements of the physico-chemical and bacteriological water parameters were conducted, along with observations on the condition of the surrounding ecosystem.

📍 Water bodies and natural habitats play an important role in preserving biodiversity and environmental balance; therefore, their protection and monitoring remain a priority.

đŸŒ± On Earth Day, caring for nature is a shared responsibility.

This activity was carried out under the project “Support to Civil Society Organizations 2024-2027", funded by the Swedish Government through Sida, and implemented by Co-PLAN Institute for Habitat Development, in cooperation with VIS Albania and COSV.
