As Europe accelerates its AI ambitions, the conversation is shifting from policy to implementation.

At the EDIH Summit 2026 in Brussels, representatives from the European Digital Innovation Hubs network, EU institutions, AI infrastructures, and innovation ecosystem actors came together to explore how Europe can enable effective and trustworthy AI adoption across businesses and public administrations.

Through discussions on AI policy, AI Factories, Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs), digital health, agrifood, cybersecurity, sustainability, and common support frameworks, participants exchanged practical experiences and identified opportunities to strengthen collaboration across the European innovation ecosystem.

The Summit highlighted the evolving role of EDIHs as key facilitators of digital transformation, helping organisations navigate emerging technologies, access expertise and infrastructure, and unlock the full potential of AI in an increasingly dynamic technological landscape.

Strengthening the foundations for start-up investment readiness.

Through the EU4Innovation initiative, implemented in cooperation with the Startup Albania Agency (SAA) and GreenTec, ecosystem support organisations from across Albania came together in Tirana for the Train-the-Trainer Workshop on Investment Readiness.

The programme equips ISOs with practical knowledge and tools on business planning, financial management, company valuation, fundraising strategies, and due diligence, enabling them to better support start-ups in preparing for investment opportunities.

Following the training, selected organisations will receive tailored support to integrate investment readiness services into their incubation and acceleration programmes, contributing to a stronger and more investment-ready start-up ecosystem in Albania.

How do investors assess the investment readiness of early-stage ventures?

Join the SPARK ALL Community Network for a technical session with Shefqet Avdullau, focused on the frameworks, indicators, and evaluation criteria used to assess startup potential, scalability, and investment attractiveness.

The session will introduce the 5 Ts framework — Team, Timing, TAM, Tech, and Traction — providing participants with a structured perspective on venture assessment and startup growth potential.

Last week in Berlin 🇦🇱✨ The founders joined the 'Albanian Startups Diaspora Roadshow' and met with founders, investors, and experts from the diaspora- a day full of new connections and a shared ambition for the future of the Albanian startup community.

At the event, .app founders Megi and Elton took the stage to share their work and vision. Luena and Inva also took part with their startups, .flow and , joining in the discussions and networking throughout the day.

The conversations showed how important strong communities and trusted networks are, and highlighted the need for more opportunities for founders who want to build internationally while staying connected to their roots. 🌳
