Today, we join our American friends, colleagues, alumni, and partners in celebrating the 250th Independence Day of the United States of America!
July 4th is a powerful reminder of the enduring values of liberty, democracy, and self-determination—values that form the bedrock of the unique, historic bond between Albania and the United States.
Our shared history is deeply rooted.
More than a century ago, at the 1919 Paris Peace Conference, it was U.S. President Woodrow Wilson who firmly championed the territorial integrity and sovereignty of a young Albanian state, ensuring its place on the world map. Decades later, through the isolation of the Cold War and into the dawn of a free, democratic Albania post-1991, that spirit of friendship never faded. Today, our two nations stand stronger than ever as trusted strategic allies and NATO partners.
At American Councils Albania, we are incredibly proud to nurture this historic legacy. Through international education, cultural exchange, and professional development, we witness daily how our youth and alumni serve as the living bridges keeping this century-old partnership vibrant and forward-looking.
To our incredible community, our resilient alumni, and our partners: Thank you for your commitment to our shared vision.
Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and historic 4th of July!
