Branka Marinovic, Professor and Head of Department of Dermatology and Venereology at University Hospital Centre Zagreb, School of Medicine University of Zagreb.
Current President of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology till October 2026.
President of the Croatian Dermato-Venereology Society of the Croatian Medical Association.
After her term of EADV President she will become Immediate Past President of the EADV and remain a member of the Executive Committee. Through her work within the EADV, she is actively involved in promoting excellence in dermatology and venereology, strengthening professional and scientific collaboration across Europe, supporting dermatological education, and advancing the recognition of skin diseases as an important public health priority.
Special field of interest are autoimmune diseases of the skin with special emphasis on autoimmune blistering diseases.
Her academic activities include scientific research, publications, invited lectures, participation in national and international congresses, expert meetings, educational courses, and professional working groups. She has been involved in numerous initiatives aimed at improving standards of dermatological care and strengthening the position of dermatology within the broader healthcare system.
In addition to her clinical and academic work, Professor Marinović has a strong interest in European and global dermatology policy, particularly in raising awareness of the burden of skin diseases, ensuring equitable access to high-quality dermatological care, advancing professional education, promoting prevention, and recognizing skin health as an important component of public health.
She is committed to fostering international collaboration, supporting the next generation of dermatologists, promoting scientific excellence, and facilitating the translation of new scientific discoveries into improved patient outcomes for skin diseases.
